Father God, Just as Moses was able to enter the tabernacle and speak with you, as a friend speaks to his friend, we are able to do the same. All because of the blood of Jesus. The yearly sacrifices were all fulfilled by his sacrifice once and for all. Thank you Father, for providing a way to restore us to righteousness, to right standing with you. For that we give you praise forever and ever. In Jesus name, Amen

We are set apart by you and for you, Father. You have called us to yourself, and we are yours. You bless us and keep us. You make your face shine upon us, and you are gracious to us. You lift up your face toward us, and you give us peace. Thank you, Father. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Father God, you amaze us. You are able to take our brokenness, and use us anyway. Levi missed out on a blessing from Jacob because of his violent revenge over his sister Dinah. But generations later, when the children of Israel made the golden calf in the wilderness, the tribe of Levi stepped forward when Moses called. They declared themselves to be on the side of the Lord. When it came time to choose priests for your people, you chose the tribe of Levi. You are the God of second chances. Help us, Father, to step forward when you call and be willing to serve you with all of our heart, our mind, and our soul. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Father God, yours is a Kingdom of order. From the beginning when you ordered all of creation, both heaven and earth, to the tribes of Israel, how they camped and how they went out from camp. Just as in the body of Christ today, everyone had their role to play. Each tribe was an important part of the whole. It wasn't by coincidence, but by design, that you had the tribe of Judah -- praise -- go out in front. Help us to remember that we still need to lead with praise, whether we are going through our regular daily routine, or whether we are fighting the fight of faith. We will lead with praise. In the name of our Savior, Jesus, we pray. Amen

Father God, we are so grateful that you show us your character in your Word. You are a just and generous God. Just as there were rewards for obedience for the Children of Israel, we know there are rewards for us today. You still bless those who follow your Word, Father. We have not been redeemed from the blessings, we have been redeemed from the curses. In you we have provision, and peace, and rest. No weapon formed against us can prosper, and no enemy can stand against your people. Thank you for your favor and your blessing, Father. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen

----Father God, thank you for the year of Jubilee. As we seek Jesus throughout scripture in the Old Testament, we find him here. He is our Jubilee. We were slaves to sin, but when Jesus came as the perfect sacrifice, as our Kinsman Redeemer, we were set free to return home to you, to the house of our Father. We didn't have to redeem ourselves -- we couldn't! We could never have paid the price -- but we have been redeemed by his blood and are forever yours. Thank you, Father. Amen

Father God, thank you for having your feasts recorded for us. The symbolism of the Passover, and the blood of the lamb that was slain that protected the children of Israel, pointed forward to the sacrifice of Jesus and our protection with his blood. The First Fruits, which help us to recognize that you are our provider. The Day of Atonement, forshadowing the day that Jesus would atone our sins. In the volume of the book, it was written of Jesus. The Old Testament looked forward to the New Testament, a better covenant. Our sins aren't merely covered, they are gone and forgotten. Thank you, Father. We praise you in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen

Father God, thank you for showing us your heart in your commandments. You recognized those who were poor, and you provided for them by having those who harvest, leave behind gleanings and fallen grapes. You always provide for us, Father. And even when we prosper, and our situations change, you ask us to remember where we came from, and have the same mercy that you have shown us, on those who are less fortunate. Father, you never show favorites--not to the great or the small. But treat everyone alike. Help us to do the same, and to not try to gain favor of those in positions of power by catering to them. Help us to be holy, Father, as you are holy. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen

Father God, we read about the day of Atonement, and the scapegoat, and recognize Jesus. Jesus was our scapegoat. All of our sins, our failings, our shortcomings -- past, present and future -- where placed on him. We are so grateful we don't have to make Atonement over and over again, but that his sacrific was enough -- once and forever. He bore our sins. He carried them into the desolate place. With his sacrifice, we have been cleansed and made whole forever. Thank you, Father. Amen

Father God, It's hard for us to relate to the ceremonial laws of clean and unclean, yet we know that nothing you commanded was without reason. The bodily fluids have to do with life. And life is sacred. And while we are no longer bound to the laws of the Old Covenant, we are bound to recognize the sacredness of life. Let us never lose sight of the fact that every life is sacred to you. Amen
