Today's Prayer Meditation is on Jeremiah 6
I take refuge in you, Father. I listen when you speak. You have opened my ears so I can hear. I do not scorn your word or take it for granted, but I take delight in it. I live by every word.
Religion offers only superficial treatments for mortal wounds. It gives assurances of peace, but there is no peace in it.
I stop at the crossroads and look around. I ask for the old, godly way, and I walk in it. I travel its path, and I find rest for my soul.
You have given your angels charge over me. And your Spirit warns me of things to come. I listen and do not reject your word. I hear it and do what you ask. I know that you prefer obedience over sacrifice.
So I offer you my sacrifice of praise, and the incense of my prayers. My heart is attuned to you.
You are the tester of metals, Father. You examine my ways and know my heart. You determine my quality. Remove the dross from my life and purify me with your holy fire.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Tuesday Sep 06, 2022
Today's Prayer Meditation is on Jeremiah 5
Father, you are searching for honesty. I was once stubbornly set in my ways. But I have repented of my sins and rebellion. Now my face is set like stone toward you. I am determined to walk in your paths of righteousness.
Teach me your ways, Father. Help me to understand your laws. I gladly take on your yoke and follow your guidance and correction. I know your burden is light. You have broken the chains that once had me bound.
My rebellion was great and my sins were many. But your love is greater still. You pardoned me. You have forgiven my sins past, present and future. You provide for my every need.
Open my eyes, Father, so I may see. Open my ears so I may hear and understand your word.
You define the ocean’s sandy shoreline as an everlasting boundary that the waters cannot cross. The waves may toss and roar, but they can never pass the boundaries you set.
I will not turn away from you or abandon you, Father. From the depths of my heart, I want to live in your presence in awe of you. You give rain each spring and fall. And you assure me of a rich harvest for my work. You have showered me with wonderful blessings and many good things.
I take the side of the orphaned to help them prosper. I give generously to help the poor. You have made me great and rich. And I honor you by doing good deeds.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Jeremiah 4
I returned to you, Father. I turned to you and came home. I threw away everything that might come between us, anything that I could possibly put in your place, anything else that I relied on or trusted in. I turned away from them and put them out of my sight. I have come home to you and I will stray away no more.
The words I speak, I speak with truth, justice and righteousness. In you I discover true blessing. And I give you all of my praise, for you are worthy.
I have plowed up the hard ground of my heart. I do not waste the good seed of your word among thorns. I surrender my pride and my power. I have removed all that stood between us and I devote myself fully to you. I have changed my heart before you, Father. With you as my God, I will live in peace.
I have cleansed my heart and do not harbor evil thoughts.
Help me to know you better, Father. Give me understanding. Teach me how to do right.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Jeremiah 3
The land has been polluted by the unfaithful. But Father, I have come home to you again. I worship and trust in you alone. You are merciful and instead of anger, you met me with compassion. You restored me.
Like a wayward child, I have returned to my master. You have given shepherds after your own heart to guide me, wise teachers who impart knowledge and understanding to me. I know that empty words can never satisfy you. So, I remain true to your teachings.
I do not wish for ‘the good old days’ when your home was the Ark of the Covenant. It was merely a shadow of things to come. Now you have made your home in me. My body is the temple of the living Spirit.
I do not stubbornly follow my own earthly desires, Father, but I have come home to you, to dwell in your presence forever.
You treat me as your own child. You have blessed me and placed me in the land of your promise and given me a future to be envied. You are my Father, and I will never turn from you. You have healed my wayward heart.
You are the Lord my God. Having faith in the things of this world is only a delusion, it's all based on a lie. You are my only hope. In you alone is my salvation found.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Saturday Sep 03, 2022
Today's Prayer Meditation is on Jeremiah 2
I am eager to please you, as a young bride wants to please her husband. I love you and will follow you wherever you lead me. Even through the barren wilderness you will fill my every need. I am set apart for you, devoted and true.
You have made me holy and adopted me as your child. You protect me.
Nothing will lead me to stray from you. I will not become worthless by idolizing the worthless things of this world.
You brought me safely out of sin and led me through the barren wilderness, through treacherous places with pits and snares, through drought and death. You brought me from death to life.
Father, you delivered me into a life of abundance to enjoy its bounty and goodness. I will not defile the life of promise or corrupt the blessings you have given me.
I will listen to your words, Father, and will not ignore you. I won't turn against you or waste my time on worthless idols.
How could I trade my glorious God for a worthless idol? You are my fountain of living water. Why would I dig a well for myself that can hold no water?
I once was a slave to sin, born into bondage, but you ransomed me and you lead me along your paths of righteousness.
You are the Lord my God. I stand in awe of you, the God of Angel Armies.
You broke the yoke that oppressed me and tore away the chains of my slavery. I will serve you forever.
You are the one who planted me, grafting me onto the vine of purest stock -- the very best. No amount of soap or lye could have made me clean, nothing but the blood of Jesus could have removed the stain of my guilt.
You are an oasis to me. You brought me into your glorious light.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing

Friday Sep 02, 2022
Today's Prayer Meditation is on Jeremiah 1
Before you formed me in my mother's womb, you knew me. Before I drew my first breath, you set me apart and gave me a purpose.
Because I do nothing in my own strength or my own wisdom, there is no such thing as being too young or too old. My personal experience counts for nothing. I can and will go wherever you send me and say whatever you tell me. I have no reason to fear the people I speak to, for you are with me and will protect me.
You have placed your words in me. I will know what to say, because I will be your voice. You have appointed me to speak your authority and stand against evil. Your word has the power to uproot it and tear it down; and your word will build up and plant anew, seeds of your love and righteousness in the earth.
You see everything that happens. Nothing escapes your notice. You carry out all of your plans.
You pronounce judgment on all those who do evil, who deserted you and serve other gods; people who worship the temporary things made by their own hands.
At your command, I arise and stand with courage. I am prepared for action, Father. I will go out and tell the world what you say. I am not afraid of looking foolish. You have made me strong, like a fortified city that cannot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall.
I will stand against the whole land. They will fight against me, against your truth, but they will fail. You are with me, and will take care of me. You are my deliverer.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Episode 326: Isaiah 66
Thursday Sep 01, 2022
Thursday Sep 01, 2022
Today's Prayer Meditation is on Isaiah 66
Heaven is your throne, Father, and the earth is your footstool. Human hands could never build you a temple as good as that. Our most talented architects couldn't design such a resting place.
Your hands made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are yours. Yet, you are interested in and concerned about me. You still have your eye on me.
You bless me, Father, for I have a humble and contrite heart. I tremble at your word. I do not choose my own way or delight in sin. I offer myself as a living sacrifice, with humility, and fear, and obedience.
When you call, I answer. When you speak, I listen. I despise what you despise. And in everything I do, I honor you, Father.
Some people hate me and reject me because I am loyal to your name. Though they scoff now, they will be put to shame. No matter what, I will continue to honor you. In you I find my joy.
Jerusalem, your Holy City, gave birth to a son, Jesus Christ my Lord. Through faith in him, an entire nation was born. A nation of people who worship you in spirit and truth. Though the enemy tried to prevent your salvation from coming, you would never allow this nation to not be born.
I rejoice with Jerusalem! I love her and I am glad with her. The time of mourning is over. I drink deeply of her glory as an infant drinks at it's mother's comforting breasts.
You rain down prosperity and peace abundantly. The wealth of the nations flow to your people. Like a thundering river, the riches come down. You comfort me as a mother comforts her child. I am held, carried, nourished and comforted by your unending love and compassion.
My heart rejoices and I flourish like the grass! Everyone sees your hand of blessing on my life. You brought punishment to the enemy with the fury of your anger and the flaming fire of your hot rebuke. You will judge the earth and purify it by fire and by the sword of your spirit, which is your word. I am consecrated and purified by your word and by the blood of the lamb.
You will gather all nations and peoples together, and they will see your glory. Jesus commissioned me to go in his name and spread the good news throughout the world, to those who have not heard of your fame or seen your glory. I declare your glory to the nations, Father. You will bring the remnant of your people back from every nation, appointing priests from among them.
I pity those who rebel against you, Father. They will follow their god into the lake of fire that never goes out.
As surely as your new heavens and earth will remain, so will I always be yours, with a name that will never disappear. I worship you from week to week and from month to month.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Wednesday Aug 31, 2022
Today's Prayer Meditation is on Isaiah 65
You have always been ready and willing to help, even before I asked, Father. When you call, I answer. When you speak, I listen. I despise the things that you despise. And I do only what I see you do and say only what I hear you say.
You open your hands to me all day long.
I will eat well. I will drink and be satisfied. I will celebrate and sing for joy. You will call me by a new and different name. When I bless others, it will be by your name, the God of truth.
You are creating new heavens and a new earth, and no one will even think about the old ones anymore. The weary and painful past will be as if it never happened. I am glad and will rejoice forever in your creation.
You are creating a new Jerusalem as a place of happiness. All who live there will be a source of joy.
You rejoice over Jerusalem, Father, your Holy City. She is your pride and joy and her people are a delight to you. The sound of weeping and crying will never be heard again.
I will not die young, but I will live a full life. I will still be considered young at one hundred.
I live in the house I have made my home, and eat the harvest of my own land. Invaders will not take my house or confiscate my produce.
I will live as long as trees, and will have time to enjoy my hard-won gains. I will not work in vain, and my descendants will not be doomed to misfortune.
I am blessed by you, Father, and my descendants too will be blessed.
You answer me before I even call to you. While I am still telling you what I need, you go ahead and answer my prayer.
So be it.
Until next time be blessed and be a blessing.

Episode 324: Isaiah 64

Tuesday Aug 30, 2022
Today's Prayer Meditation is on Isaiah 64
Oh Father, how I wish you would burst from the heavens and come down! The heights and depths of the earth would quake in your presence! As fire causes wood to burn and water to boil, your coming would make the nations tremble. The scoffers and doubters would see who you are and learn the reason for your fame!
When you came down long ago, you did awesome deeds, miracles beyond our highest expectations. And oh, how the mountains quaked!
Since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you. You work for those who wait on you. You meet whoever tries with sincerity of purpose to do what you want, to be just and follow in your ways.
But I was not godly. I was a sinner in need of a savior. When I tried to be righteous through my own works, all of my right efforts were like filthy rags. Without your mercy, I would be like an autumn leaf, withered and fallen, swept away by my sins like the wind.
But I called out to you. I called on your name and you showered me with your everlasting love and compassion. You didn't leave me to dissolve away in my sins.
You are my father. I am the clay and you are the potter. I am the product of your creative action, shaped and formed into something of worth by your hands. You have made me whole. It's as though I never sinned. My sins are removed as far as the east is from the west. I am forgiven and I am yours.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Sunday Aug 28, 2022
Today's Prayer Meditation is on Isaiah 62
Because you love Zion, Father, I will not keep still. Because your heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent. I will not stop praying for her. Father, you will make her righteousness shine like the dawn and her salvation blaze like a burning torch. The nations will see her righteousness. World leaders will be blinded by her glory. You will give her a new name, spoken from your lips.
You will hold Jerusalem in your hand for all to see, a splendid crown in the hand of the Almighty. Never again will she be called “The Forsaken City” or “The Desolate Land.” Her new name will be “The City of God’s Delight” and “The Bride of God.” Because you delight in your Holy City and will claim her as your bride. You will rejoice over Jerusalem once again.
Like a watchman on the walls, I will pray for Jerusalem day and night continually. I will take no rest until you complete your work and make Jerusalem the pride of the earth.
You have sworn to Jerusalem by your own strength that she will never fall to her enemies. Foreign warriors will not come to take away her grain and new wine. But the inhabitants will eat the grain they have raised, and give you praise, Father. Within the courtyards of the Temple, they will drink the wine they have pressed.
Look! The highway is being prepared for your people to return. The roads are being smoothed out and the boulders removed. Your banner is being raised for all the nations to see.
Israel, your Savior has come. He brings his reward with him. You will be called “The Holy People” once again, “The People Redeemed by the God.” Jerusalem will be known as "The City No Longer Forsaken" and "The Desirable Place".
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.
