Episode 382: Prosperity

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Prosperity
I will never forget that it is you, Father, who gives me the power to gain wealth, not merely for myself, but to confirm your covenant in the earth. 
Jesus came that so that I could have life, and have it abundantly.
You supply every need I have according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 
Your desire is that I prosper and be in health even as my soul prospers. So I feed my soul -- my thoughts, my will and my emotions -- with your word. 
Though Jesus was rich, yet for my sake he became poor, so that I by his poverty might become rich. 
You raised me up from the dust, you lifted me from the ash heap, and through Jesus, I have inherited a seat of honor. 
Your divine power has granted me all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Jesus who called me to his own glory and excellence.
Every work I undertake, I work as if I'm working for you. I seek you with all of my heart, and you prosper me. 
You are the Lord my God, you teach me to profit, and you lead me in the way I should go.
You are able to make all grace abound to me. You make me all sufficient in all things at all times, so that I may abound in every good work. 
I am not subject to the world's economy. I give freely. My heart is not grudging when I give, and you bless me in all my work and in all that I undertake. 
I give, and it is given to me. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, it is put into my lap. For with the measure I use it is measured back to me.
You have opened your good treasury to me, the heavens to give the rain to my land in its season and to bless the work of my hands. 
Out of my plenty, I lend to others, and I do not need to borrow.
You are able to do far more abundantly than anything I could ever ask or think, according to your power that works within me.
I will not let your word depart from my mouth. I meditate on it day and night. I am careful to do what is written in it. And my way is made prosperous and I have good success.
I seek your kingdom and your ways first, Father, I live in the righteousness you have provided through Christ Jesus, and all of the things needed to live an abundant life are added to me. 
You reward my humility and fear of you with riches and honor and life.
You are my shepherd. I lack nothing.
I live in a state of your favor. And your blessing makes me rich, and it comes without any sorrow attached to it.
I am like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doesn't wither. I prosper in all that I do.
You are my sun and my shield. You bestow favor and honor on me. You don't withhold any good thing from me. 
So be it.

Episode 381: Malachi

Today's Prayer Meditation is on the Book of Malachi
You have always loved me, Father. Your greatness knows no borders. You deserve all of my honor and respect. I offer you all that I have, my very life as a living sacrifice. Your name is great among the nations. You are my King.
The purpose of your covenant is to bring life and peace. That is what you give me. And all you require in return is that I reverence you. I stand in awe of your name. I speak your truth. I do not lie or cheat. I walk with you, living a good and righteous life, and turn others from lives of sin.
My lips preserve knowledge of you, Father. 
We are all children of the same Father. We were all created by the same God. So why would I betray my brothers and sisters or violate your covenant?
I guard my heart and I am faithful.
You sent your messenger, the Messiah. He is like a blazing fire that refines metal, or like a strong soap that bleaches clothes. Like a refiner of silver, he burned away the dross of my life. He purified me and refined me like gold and silver so that I could once again be an acceptable sacrifice to you. 
You are the Lord, and you do not change. I returned to you, and you returned to me.
I bring my tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough for those the church cares for. And you open the windows of heaven for me. You have poured out a blessing so great I don't have enough room to take it in! I have tried it. I put you to the test as you asked. My harvests are abundant, for you protect them. You rebuke the devourer for my sake, and he cannot destroy the fruit of my labor. Everyone calls me blessed, for they can see your favor on my life. 
There is profit to be had by serving you and keeping your word. You bless those who love you. 
I fear you with a holy reverence, Father, and I honor your name. I am yours, your special treasure. You have spared me as a loving Father spares an obedient child. spares an obedient child. There is a difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. You have showered my life with blessings. 
The Sun of Righteousness rose with healing in his wings. And I went free, leaping with joy like a calf let out to pasture. I tread upon the enemy like dust under my feet.
So be it.

Father, you stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit. You have made me an immovable rock. Anyone who tries to move me will only hurt themselves.
You watch over me. I have found strength in you. You are the God of Angel Armies. I remain secure in you. 
You have given me victory over the enemy, and over my cicumstances. You defend me. Even though I am weak in my own strength, I am mighty in you. You have poured out your spirit of grace and power on me. 
You opened a fountain to cleanse me from all of my sins and impurity. You have erased idol worship, false prophets and the spirit of impurity that came with them. You brought me through the fire and made me pure. You refined me like silver and purified me like gold. 
I called on your name, and you answered me. I am yours and you are my God.
You outshine all other sources of light, bringing continuous day. You are the light in the darkness. Life-giving water flows from you continuously. You are King over all the earth. Let your name alone be worshiped. 
I am safe at last, never again to be cursed or destroyed.
So be it.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Zechariah Chapters 9 and 10
I rejoice and shout in triumph. My king has come. You are righteous and victorious, yet you are humble, riding on a donkey, riding on a donkey's colt.
You bring peace. Your realm stretches from sea to sea, to the ends of the earth. You made a covenant with me, sealed with blood. You freed me from death and brought me back to a place of safety. You gave me hope. You have repaid two blessings for each of my troubles. 
The God of Angel Armies protects me. The enemy has been defeated. You rescued me like a shepherd rescues his sheep. I sparkle in the land like a jewel in a crown. 
I thrive on abundant harvests and flourish on the new wine of the Spirit.
I ask you for rain in the spring, for you make the storm clouds. You send showers of rain so that my field becomes a lush pasture. 
False gods give worthless advice, fortune-tellers predict only lies, and interpreters of dreams pronounce falsehoods that give no comfort. Truth and wisdom are found only in you, Father. 
You look after me like a shepherd looks after his flock. You make me strong and glorious, like a proud warhorse in battle. You make me into a mighty warrior, because you are with me as I fight.
You have saved me and strengthened me. You restored me because of your compassion. You are my God who hears my prayers.
You have made my heart happy as if by wine. My heart rejoices in you. When you whistle to me, I come running for you have redeemed me. 
You brought me safely through the sea of distress, for you held back the waves of the sea, and the waters dried up. The rule of darkness has ended. You have made me strong, and by your authority I go wherever I wish. 
So be it.

Father, you ask that I judge fairly, and show mercy and kindness to others. You want me to free the oppressed and not to scheme against others. 
Your love is passionate and strong; You are consumed with passion for your people. So much, that you have chosen to dwell among us. 
Nothing is impossible for you. You rescued me and brought me close to you. I am yours, and you are faithful and just toward me. You are my God.
So I will be strong and finish the task you have given me. You have planted seeds of peace and prosperity for me. 
I reap abundant harvests. Blessings are my inheritance. You rescued me and made me both a symbol and a source of blessing. 
I am not afraid, but am strong in your might. 
You are determined to bless me. You only ask that I speak the truth, that I am just, and that the actions I take lead to peace. I hate the things you hate, Father. And I love truth and peace.
The time of fasting and mourning has ended. It is now time for festivals of joy and celebration. 
Others will see the blessings you have poured out on my life, and they will want your blessing too. They will say, Please let us walk with you, for we have heard that God is with you. 
So be it.

I turned to you, Father, and you came running to meet me. I turned from my evil ways and practices. 
Your love is passionate and strong. And your desire for me is that I enjoy peace and security. You show mercy to me and you comfort me. I overflow with prosperity. You have chosen me as your own.
You are a protective wall of fire around me, and you are the glory in my midst. Anyone who harms me, harms your most precious possession. 
I shout and rejoice, because you have made your home in me. 
You snatched me out of the fire. You removed my filthy garments of self-righteousnes. You took away my sins and clothed me with your robe of righteousness. You placed a crown upon my head. You removed my sins in a single day.
I follow your ways and carefully serve you. You have given me the authority to use your name. It is not by force, nor by strength, but by your Spirit. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, can stand in the way. It will become a level plain before me. 
I do not despise small beginnings, I know that you rejoice to see me begin to do your work.
So be it.

Episode 376: Haggai

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Haggai
Father, I put you first. You said to seek your kingdom and the other things would be added to me. If my priorities are out of order, this is what happens: I plant much, but harvest little. I eat, but I am not satisfied. I drink, but I'm still thirsty. I put on clothes, but can't keep warm. My wages disappear as though I'm putting them in pockets full of holes.
If I need to make sure I'm putting first things first, all I have to do is look at what's happening to me.
So, I bring you my first fruits, Father. When I plant, I have an abundant harvest. I eat my fill and I am satisfied. I drink your living water, and my thirst is quenched. You have commanded your blessing upon my storehouses. 
I obey your word and I reverence you. I am not afraid, because you are with me. You are my strength. You fill my life with glory. 
The silver is yours. The gold is yours. I know the future will be even more glorious than the past. You bring peace. From this day onward, you will bless me. 
You give me honor. You make me like a signet ring upon your finger. You have chosen me. I am yours.
So be it!

I gather together with other believers, Father. I have repented. I humble myself before you and I follow your commands. I seek to do what is right and to live humbly. And you protect me. 
You visit me in kindness and restore my prosperity again. 
The wicked will receive the wages of their pride. All nations will bow before you and worship your name. 
I repent of my rebellion and listen to your words. I welcome your correction. I trust in you and draw near to you. 
Though evil is on every side, you are still here with me. You do no wrong. Day by day, you hand down justice, and you do not fail. But the wicked know no shame. 
I have reverence for you, Father, and listen to your warnings. I am patient and wait on you. 
You will purify the speech of all people, so we can all worship you together. I no longer need to be ashamed. My pride and arrogance are gone. There is no more haughtiness in me. I am lowly and humble and trust in your name. 
I eat and sleep in safety, and I am not afraid. 
I sing praises and shout aloud. I am glad and rejoice with all my heart. You are Emmanuel, God with us. My troubles are over, and I will never again fear disaster. I am not afraid, because you are with me. You are a mighty savior. You take delight in me with gladness. With your love, you calm all my fears. You rejoice over me with joyful songs. 
I will be disgraced no more. You have given me glory and fame. You brought me home to you. You have given me a good name, a name of distinction. You have restored my fortunes before my very eyes. 
So be it.

Episode 374: Habakkuk

Today's Prayer Meditation is on the Book of Habakkuk
How long, Father, until you cleanse the earth? Violence is everywhere. I see destruction and violence all around. The earth is filled with people who love to argue and fight. At times it appears that the law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts. The wicked seem to outnumber the righteous, and they have perverted justice. Their strength is their god.
But you, Father, are holy and eternal. You are pure and cannot stand the sight of evil. You will not wink at their treachery or be silent while the wicked swallow up the righteous. 
I will study the vision you have spoken in your word. I write it plainly so that others can see and understand. Your word will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, I will wait patiently, for it will surely take place and it will not be delayed. 
I live by my faithfulness to you. Earthly wealth will turn to ashes. But as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with the awareness of your glory.
How foolish it would be to trust in my own creation. 
I have heard about you all of my life, Father. I am filled with awe by your amazing works and your unfailing mercy.
Your brilliant splendor fills the heavens, and the earth is filled with your praise. Your coming is as brilliant as the sunrise. Rays of light flash from your hands, where your awesome power is hidden. When you stop, the earth shakes. When you look, the nations tremble. You shatter the everlasting mountains and level the eternal hills. You are the Eternal One.
You struck the rivers and parted the seas. You sent your chariots of salvation. And brandished your bow and your quiver of arrows. You split open the earth with flowing rivers. The mountains watched and trembled. Onward swept the raging waters. The mighty deep cried out, lifting its hands in submission. The sun and moon stood still in the sky as your brilliant arrows flew and your glittering spear flashed.
You went out to rescue your chosen people, to save your anointed ones. You crushed the head of the enemy and stripped him from head to toe. You took the keys of death and hell from him. You trampled the sea with your horses, and the mighty waters piled high.
I will wait quietly for the coming day when you will return. I rejoice in you. I am joyful in the God of my salvation. You are my strength. You make me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.

Father, you are a jealous God. You do not tolerate anything that distracts from you. You are slow to get angry, but your power is great. You will not let the enemy go unpunished. 
You display your power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath your feet. At your command, the oceans dry up and the rivers disappear. The lush pastures fade and the green forests wither. 
In your presence the mountains quake, the hills melt away, and the earth trembles. The mountains crumble to dust in your presence. And I am overwhelmed with your majesty.
You are good, Father, a strong refuge and a safe shelter in times of trouble. You are always with me and I trust in you. 
You broke the yoke of bondage from my neck and tore off the chains of oppression. You brought me good news, a message of peace. I celebrate your salvation and righteousness, and I fulfill my vows. The enemy has been defeated. And I am completely free.
