Thursday Nov 18, 2021
Today's Meditation is based on Hebrews 8 from The Passion Translation
I have a magnificent King-Priest who ministers for me at the right hand of God. He is enthroned with honor next to the throne of the Majesty on high. Jesus serves in the holy sanctuary in the true heavenly tabernacle set up by God, and not by men. Because priests are appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, the Messiah had to bring a sacrifice. So he offered in heaven a perfect sacrifice -- himself.
Jesus the Messiah accepted a priestly ministry which far surpasses that of any earthly priest. He is the catalyst of a better covenant which contains far more wonderful promises. A covenant that is available to me through him.
God promised to embed his laws within my thoughts and fasten them onto my heart. He is my loyal God and I am loyal to him. I know him inwardly, and he demonstrates his mercy to me. He forgives my evil deeds, and my sins have been forgotten, never to be remembered again.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Wednesday Nov 17, 2021
Today's Meditation is based on Hebrews 7 from the Passion Translation
My Lord didn’t descend from the tribe of Levi, but shined from the tribe of Judah. My King-Priest did not arise because of a genealogical right under the law to be a priest, but by the power of an indestructible, resurrection life. The old order of priesthood has been set aside as weak and powerless. For the law never made anyone perfect. And in its place is a far better hope which gives me confidence to experience intimacy with God. And God confirmed it to me with his solemn vow. He affirmed the royal-priesthood of Jesus with his promise, saying,
The Lord has made a solemn oath and will never change his mind, “You are a King-Priest forever!”
All of this serves to magnify the truth that I have a superior covenant with God because Jesus himself is its guarantor. And Jesus permanently holds his priestly office, since he lives forever and will never have a successor.
He is able to save fully from now throughout eternity, everyone who comes to God through him, because he lives to pray continually for them. He is my High Priest who perfectly fits my need. He is holy, without a trace of evil, without the ability to deceive, incapable of sin, and exalted beyond the heavens.
Unlike the former high priests, he doesn't have to offer daily sacrifices. He finished the sacrificial system, once and for all, when he offered himself. God’s promise, sealed with his oath, which succeeded the law, appoints a perfect Son who is complete forever!
And I am complete in him.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing

Episode 37: Hebrews 6
Tuesday Nov 16, 2021
Tuesday Nov 16, 2021
Today's meditation is based on Hebrews 6 from The Passion Translation
Now is the time for me to progress beyond the basic message of Christ and advance into perfection. The foundation has already been laid for me to build upon: turning away from my dead works to embrace faith in God, being baptized not just with water but by the Holy Spirit, and imparting the gifts of the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands. With God's enablement, I will move on to deeper truths.
I have come into God’s light, and tasted the gifts of the heavenly realm. I have received the Holy Spirit, and feasted on the good Word of God. I have entered into the power of the age that is breaking in and I will never abandon my faith. If I did, it would be like re-crucifying the Son of God.
My heart is just like the soil that drinks up the showers which often fall upon it. And it will yield crops as God’s blessing upon the field. I am fully convinced that there are more beautiful and excellent things, which will flow from my salvation.
For God, the Faithful One, is not unfair. He will not forget the beautiful work I have done for him. He remembers the love I demonstrate as I continually serve his beloved ones for the glory of his name. I will continue to passionately advance until the end and will find my hope fulfilled. I don’t allow my heart to grow dull or lose my enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who have gone before me who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance.
When God made a promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater than himself, he swore an oath on his own integrity to keep the promise as sure as God exists! He promised to bless him over and over, and give him a son and multiply him without measure!
God wanted to end all doubt and confirm it even more forcefully to those who would inherit his promises. His purpose was unchangeable, so God added his vow to the promise. I know it is impossible for God to lie for I know that his promise and his vow will never change!
And now I have run into his heart to hide myself in his faithfulness. This is where I find his strength and comfort, for he empowers me to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakable hope! I have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding my soul to God himself. My anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, and where Jesus, my forerunner, has gone in before me. He is now and forever my royal Priest like Melchizedek.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Episode 36: Hebrews 4
Monday Nov 15, 2021
Monday Nov 15, 2021
Today's meditation is based on Hebrews 4 from the Passion Translation
The promise of entering into God’s rest is still for me today. So I am extremely careful to ensure that I embrace the fullness of that promise and don't fail to experience it. For I have heard the good news of deliverance, and I join my faith with the Word. I let the Word affect me deeply, and I do not doubt. For I know that when I believe, faith activates the promise and I experience the realm of confident rest!
God’s works have all been completed from the foundation of the world.
The fact remains that I still have the opportunity to enter into the faith-rest life and experience the fulfillment of the promise! For God still has ordained a day for me to enter into called “Today.” If only today I will listen to his voice and not harden my heart!
This promise of “rest” was not fulfilled when Joshua brought the children of Israel into the promised land, or God wouldn’t have spoken later of another “rest” yet to come. There is still a full and complete Sabbath-rest waiting for me to experience as a believer. As I enter into God’s faith-rest life I cease from my own works, just as God celebrates his finished works and rests in them. So then I am eager to experience this faith-rest life, and do not fall short by falling into doubt and unbelief.
I have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It penetrates to the very core of my being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of my heart. I cannot hide my thoughts from God, for nothing that I do remains a secret, and nothing created is concealed, but everything is exposed and defenseless before his eyes, to whom I must render an account.
I cling in faith to all I know to be true. For I have a magnificent King-Priest, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who rose into the heavenly realm for me, and now sympathizes with me in my frailty. He understands humanity, for as a man, my magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as I am, and conquered sin. So now I draw near freely and boldly to where grace is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace I urgently need to strengthen me in my time of weakness.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Sunday Nov 14, 2021
Today's meditation is based on Hebrews 3 from the Passion Translation
I am now made holy, and invited to the feast of my heavenly calling. I fasten my thoughts fully onto Jesus, whom I embrace as my Apostle and King-Priest. For he was faithful to the Father who appointed him, in the same way that Moses was a model of faithfulness in what was entrusted to him. But Jesus is worthy to receive a much greater glory than Moses, for the one who builds a house deserves to be honored more than the house he builds. Every house is built by someone, but God is the Designer and Builder of all things.
Moses served God faithfully in all he gave him to do. But Christ is more than a Servant, he was faithful as the Son in charge of God’s house. And now I am part of his house if I continue courageously to hold firmly to my bold confidence and my victorious hope.
I listen to his voice this day! And I don’t make him angry by hardening my heart. I am not rebellious and do not test God or try his patience. For I have seen his miracles and I do not doubt him! I do not wander in my heart, nor do I wander with my feet. I eagerly learn his ways so that I can enter into his rest.
I search my heart every day, and make sure that I don't have any evil or unbelief hiding within me. For I know it will only lead me astray, and make me unresponsive to the living God. This is the time to encourage others, and to never be stubborn or hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. I am mingled with the Messiah, if I will continue unshaken in this confident assurance from the beginning until the end.
I choose each day to listen to his voice, and do not harden my heart.
I know that through obedience, faith and God's amazing grace, I can enter into his calming place of rest, and enter into my inheritance in Christ Jesus.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Saturday Nov 13, 2021
Today's meditation is based on Hebrews 2 from the Passion Translation
I know it is crucial that I be all the more engaged and attentive to the truths that I have heard so that I do not drift off course. God adds his witness to the witness of his believers by validating the good news of the gospel with signs, astonishing wonders, all kinds of powerful miracles, and by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which he distributes as he desires.
Father, what am I that you would even think about me or care about the human race? Yet, you have placed your glory and honor upon Jesus's head as a crown. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands. You have placed everything under his authority.
God left nothing outside the control of his Son, even if it doesn't look like it right now. Jesus, who lived and walked this earth as a man, has now been crowned with glorious honor because of what he suffered in his death. It was by God’s grace that he experienced death’s bitterness on my behalf.
Now he towers above all creation, for all things exist through him and for him. God made him, pioneer of my salvation, perfect through his sufferings, for this is how he brings many sons and daughters to share in his glory. Jesus, the Holy One, makes me holy. And as a child of God, I now belong to his same Father. Jesus is not ashamed or embarrassed to introduce me as his sister. He said he would reveal who I really am and would glorify me with praises in the midst of the congregation.
My confidence rests in God. I am one with Christ.
Because I am flesh and blood, Jesus became human to fully identify with me. He did this, so that he could experience death and annihilate the effects of the intimidating accuser who held the power of death against me. By embracing death, Jesus set me free from a life lived in bondage to the tormenting dread of death. He didn’t do this for the angels, but for me, so that I could become a child of Abraham.
He had to be a man and take hold of my humanity in every way. He made us brothers and sisters, and became my merciful and faithful King-Priest before God. He removed my sins to make me one with him. He suffered and endured every test and temptation, so that he can help me pass through all the ordeals of life.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Episode 33: Hebrews 1
Friday Nov 12, 2021
Friday Nov 12, 2021
Today's meditation is from Hebrews 1, from the Passion Translation
Throughout history God spoke to our ancestors through his prophets in many different ways. The revelation he gave them was only a fragment at a time, building one truth upon another. But now, God speaks to me openly in the language of a Son, the appointed Heir of everything, for through Jesus, God created the panorama of all things and all time.
Jesus is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He completely cleansed my sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of God the Father, the majestic One.
My Lord Jesus is infinitely greater than angels, for he inherited a rank and a Name far greater than theirs. He is the favored Son, let all the angels bow down before him and kiss him in worship.
Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever and you will rule your kingdom with justice and righteousness, for you have cherished righteousness and detested lawlessness. For this reason, God, my God, has anointed Jesus and poured out the oil of bliss on him more than on any of his friends.
Lord, you formed the earth in the beginning and with your own hands you crafted the cosmos. They will both one day disappear, but you will remain forever! They will all fade like a worn-out garment, And they will be changed like clothes, and you will fold them up and put them away. But you are ‘I AM.’ You never change, years without end!
My Lord Jesus has taken his seat next to the Father God at his right hand until his whispering enemies are forced to be a rug under his feet. The angels are spirit-messengers sent by God to serve and minister to the saved.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Thursday Nov 11, 2021
Today's meditation is based on Titus 3 from The Passion Translation
I respect my governmental leaders on every level, as a law-abiding citizen and I am ready to fulfill my civic duty. I never tear down anyone with my words or quarrel, but instead I am considerate, humble, and courteous to everyone. After all, it wasn’t that long ago that I behaved foolishly in my stubborn disobedience. I once was easily led astray as a slave to worldly passions and pleasures, wasting my life in doing evil. With hateful jealousy, I used to hate others.
But God...
The extraordinary compassion of God my Savior and his overpowering love suddenly appeared as the brightness of a dawning day. He came to save me. Not because of any virtuous deed that I had done but only because of his extravagant mercy.
He saved me. Resurrecting me through the washing of rebirth. I am made completely new by the Holy Spirit, whom he splashed over me richly by Jesus, the Messiah, my Life Giver. So as a gift of his love, and since I am now faultless—innocent before his face—I have become an heir of all things. All because of an overflowing hope of eternal life.
How true and faithful this message is! It is truly the good news of the gospel!
I especially emphasize these truths, and I am careful to devote myself to doing good works, knowing that it is always beautiful and profitable for believers to do good works.
I avoid useless controversies, genealogies, pointless quarrels, and arguments over the law, which get me nowhere. And while I will give someone the benefit of the doubt, after a second warning, I will have nothing more to do with a divisive person who refuses to be corrected. I know that such a person is entwined with sin and stands self-condemned.
I am passionately devoted to beautiful works of righteousness and meet the urgent needs of others. I am not unfruitful.
God’s wonderful grace is with me.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Wednesday Nov 10, 2021
Today's meditation is based on Titus 2 from The Passion Translation
My duty is to embrace a lifestyle that is consistent with sound doctrine. I live a disciplined life full of dignity and self-control. I have a solid faith, generous love, and patient endurance.
My life is free from gossip and drunkenness and I am a teacher of beautiful things; teaching the younger women to love their husbands, to love their children, and to be self-controlled and pure, taking care of their household and being devoted to their husbands. By doing these things the word of God will not be discredited.
I live a disciplined life for Christ.
Above all, I set myself apart as a model of a life nobly lived. With dignity, I demonstrate integrity in all that I do and say. The words I speak are clear and wholeome and cannot be condemned. My critics have nothing bad to say about me.
I am supportive of my employer and do what is pleasing in every way. I am not argumentative and do not steal, but prove myself to be completely loyal and trustworthy. By doing this I advertise through all that I do the beautiful teachings of God our Savior.
God’s marvelous grace was manifested in person, bringing salvation for everyone. This same grace teaches me how to live each day as I turn my back on ungodliness and an indulgent lifestyle. God's grace equips me to live a self-controlled, upright, godly life in this present age.
I continue to wait for the fulfillment of my hope in the dawning splendor of the glory of my great God and Savior, Jesus, the Anointed One. He sacrificed himself for me in order to purchase my freedom from every lawless deed and to purify me for himself as his very own. I am passionate to do what is beautiful in his eyes.
I exhort others to follow these truths and I am willing to expose sin in order to bring correction with full authority, without being intimidated by anyone.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Tuesday Nov 09, 2021
Today's meditation is based on Titus 1 from the Passion Translation
I am God’s willing slave and a disciple of Jesus, the Anointed One. My faith expands daily as I am led to the full knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness and rests on the hope of eternal life. God, who never lies, promised this before time began.
Grace and peace descend to me from God the Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ!
Jesus left me to complete what was left unfinished, to preach the good news of the Gospel throughout the world. I live my life above reproach. I am of blameless character and not opinionated or short-tempered. I am not a drunkard or violent or greedy, but am known for my hospitality and as a lover of goodness. I am recognized as one who is fair-minded, pure-hearted, and self-controlled. I have a firm grasp of the trustworthy message of the gospel, and this enables me to both encourage others and to provide convincing answers to those who oppose the truth. I don't pay any attention to religious myths or follow the teachings of those who reject the truth.
I see only purity, because I have a pure heart. My mind and conscience are undefiled. I know God and my actions are in line with his will. I am obedient and, just as Jesus did while he walked this earth, I go about doing good.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.
