Episode 129: Psalm 89

Today's meditation is on Psalm 89.
I will sing of your unfailing love forever, O Lord! Young and old shall hear about your blessings. Your mercy grows through the ages. Your love and kindness are forever; your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.
Lord, you established a Covenant and sent me an engraved invitation to be a part of it. I am Abraham's seed by faith, and heir of the promise.
All heaven praises your miracles, O Lord; myriads of angels praise you for your faithfulness. I could search the skies forever and never find one like you. The mightiest angel could not be compared to you. The highest of angelic powers stand in fear and awe before you. Who else is as revered as you are? O Jehovah, God of Angel Armies, who else is as glorious as you?  Faithfulness is your very character. It shines all around you.
You rule the oceans when their waves arise in fearful storms; you speak, and they lie still. You have cut down the haughty. Your enemies are scattered by your awesome power. The heavens are yours, the world, everything—for you created them all--the seen and the unseen. You created north and south! The majestic mountains rejoice to be signed by your name as their maker! Your power is breathtaking and awesome. Your might and strength are matchless. 
Your throne is founded on two strong pillars—the one is Justice and the other is Righteousness. Grace and Truth walk before you as your attendants. Blessed am I, for I hear the joyful blast of the trumpet, and walk in the radiance of your presence. I rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation and in your perfect righteousness. The glory of your splendor is my strength. My power is based on your favor. Your wraparound presence is my protection. You are my strength and you give me grace to sustain me no matter what comes. You protect and bless me constantly and surround me with your love; any greatness I have, is because of you. You have placed your great favor upon me. You are my Father, my God, and my Rock of Salvation.
Father, you treat him as your firstborn. You love me with a never-ending love and always show me kindness. Your covenant with me will never end. You will never take away your loving-kindness from me, nor let your promises fail.  No, you will not break your covenant; you will not take back one word of what you said. For you made a covenant with Abraham and sealed it with the blood of Jesus, and a holy God can never lie.
I will bless you, Lord, forever.

Today's meditation is on Psalm 86
You always hear my prayer, O Lord. I call on you when I'm in trouble, and you answer me.
You are my Protector. You guard my life and I am your faithful friend. I am devoted to you. Your loyal servant for life. I turn to you in faith. You are my God. 
You are so wonderful, O Lord, so merciful and kind. I look up to you, you are my constant hope. You drench me with your favor and bring me to your fountain of grace. You give me happiness, Lord, and I give myself to you. All that I am is yours. I worship you alone. You are so good and kind, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love and mercy for all who ask for your help.
There is no other god like you. No one else can do the miracles you do. All the nations will come and bow before you, Lord, and praise your great and holy name. For you are great and do great miracles. You alone are God.
Tell me where you want me to go and I will go there. Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth. May every fiber of my being unite in reverence to your name. With all my heart I will praise you. I will give glory to your name forever, for you love me so much! You are constantly  kind! You have rescued me from a meaningless existence.
You are merciful and gentle, Lord, a God of compassion and mercy. You are filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. You give me your strength when I am weary. You are my comforter. You pour out your favor on me.

Episode 127: Psalm 85

Today's meditation is on Psalm 85
O Lord, you have shown me favor and poured out amazing blessings on me. You restored my destiny and you have forgiven my sins. You covered over each one with your love.
You have restored and revived my heart, and I rejoice in loving you.You show me your unfailing love, Lord, pouring out your kindness on me. You have granted me your salvation. I taste your joy and gladness.
I listen carefully to everything you say, Lord. You promise me peace.I will faithfully serve you with reverence, Father. Surely your salvation is here and our land is filled with your glory. Your power and presence shines on me, and your glory hovers over me.
Love and faithfulness have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Flowers of your faithfulness are blooming on the earth, and righteousness smiles down from heaven.
You pour out your blessings. They keep raining down, blessing after blessing; prosperity drenching the land. I reap the bountiful harvest of the seeds I have sown. Righteousness goes before me and prepares the path for my steps.

Episode 126: Psalm 84

Today's meditation is on Psalm 84
Who am I, O God of Angel Armies, that you have made me your temple;the sanctuary of your presence. 
I long, yes, faint with longing to live in perfect union with you. When I am in your presence, I sing to you and worship you with my whole being, body and soul. You are my true source and spring of life. Even the sparrows and swallows are welcome to come and nest among your altars to raise their young. O God of Angel armies, my King and my Lord, what joy I have dwelling with you, singing praises in your presence.
My heart is filled with joy, and I find my strength in you, O Lord. I want above all else to follow your steps. When I walk through the Valley of Weeping, where others find only pain, it will become for me a place of springs where pools of blessing and refreshment collect after rains. I grow stronger and stronger with every step forward, grateful beyond measure that I have been adopted into your family.
O Jehovah, God of Angel Armies, your wraparound presence is my defense. Thank you for your mercies that are new every morning, and your favor which you pour over me. 
A single day spent in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a doorman of the house of my God than live without you in the palaces of wickedness. For Jehovah God, you are my Light and my Protector. You are brighter than the brilliance of a sunrise. You give me grace and glory. You won't withhold any good thing from me because I choose to walk along your paths. I never lack anything I need, for you provide it all.
O God of Angel Armies, I am blessed and filled with joy because I trust in you.

Episode 125: Psalm 71

Today's meditation is on Psalm 71
Lord, you are my refuge. I come to you for protection and you never let me down. You have saved me from the enemy and set me free. You are just. When I call to you, you bend down your ear and listen to my plea. You are my great protecting Rock, where I am always welcome, safe from all attacks. You are my rock and my fortress. 
O Lord, you alone are my hope; I’ve trusted you from childhood. Yes, you have been with me from birth, loving me and helping me through my life's journey. What you have done for me is nothing short of miraculous. No wonder I am always praising you! My success—-at which so many stand amazed—-is all because of you, my mighty protector. I try to live my life as an example to others of how wonderful life with you can be. Every day I’ll praise and honor you. I'm overflowing with your praise for all you've done. Your splendor thrills me all day long.
As I have grown older, you haven't set me aside. You will never forsake me. And when I am weak, Lord, you are strong.
I will continue to rely on you, Lord, with great expectation. And I will praise you more and more. I cannot count the times when you have faithfully rescued me from danger. I will tell everyone how good you are, and of your constant, daily care. I walk in your mighty strength, oh Lord. I tell everyone that you alone are just and good and perfect. 
O God, you have helped me from my earliest childhood. You have been my teacher. I love to testify to others about your miracle wonders. And now that I am older, you are still with me, never forsaking me. You give me grace to demonstrate to the next generation, all your mighty miracles and your excitement to show them your magnificent power. I will praise you to this generation (and their children too) and tell them all about your mighty miracles. 
Your power and goodness, Lord, reach to the highest heavens. You have done such wonderful things. There is no other God like you. You brought me back to life again, up from the depths of the earth. You give me greater honor than before and turn again and comfort me.
I will praise you with music, telling of your faithfulness to all your promises, O God. I will shout and sing your praises for redeeming me. I will never stop telling others about your mercy and kindness and about how perfect you are.

Episode 124: Psalm 69

Today's meditation is on Psalm 69
Save me, O my God. The floods have risen. Deeper and deeper I sink in the mire; the waters rise around me. I have wept until I am weary and exhausted; my throat is dry and hoarse my voice is gone. My eyes are swollen with weeping. And I'm waiting for you, God, to come through for me.
O God, you know how foolish I can be, and you know all my sins, they cannot be hidden from you. My life is an open book to you. You know everything I have ever done. O God of Angel Armies, don’t let me be a stumbling block to those who trust in you. O God, don’t let me cause them to be confused. 
Even my own family pretends they don’t know me! But my zeal for you and for your work burns hot within me. My heart is on fire. My passion for your house consumes me. Nothing will turn me away. I am scoffed and mocked when I mourn and fast before you, Lord. They talk about me and make fun of me when I sorrow for my sins. My passion for you is scorned.
But I keep right on praying to you, Lord, for now is the season of your favor. In your unfailing love, O God, you answer my prayer. You are ready with a plentiful supply of love and kindness. You answer my prayer. You come close to me as a friend and redeem me as you promised. You pull me out of the mire, and you don't let me sink any deeper. You keep me from being overwhelmed and swallowed up. You save me from the pit. 
Your unfailing loving-kindness is wonderful; your mercy is so plentiful, so tender and so kind. You do not hide from me when I am in trouble. But, you come quickly to save me. You have ransomed me from the enemy.
When my heart was broken and my spirit heavy within me, you rescued me, O God, from my poverty and pain. Your miracle rescue comes to me and lifts me to the highest place. And now I praise you with my singing. I honor you with my thanksgiving, for a sacrifice of praise is what pleases you. I see my God at work for me, and I overflow with gladness. I seek you and you revive my heart filling it with joy. You will never abandon me.
Let heaven and earth praise you. Let all the seas and everything in them praise your name. You have saved me and rebuilt my life. And you cause me to live in peace and safety.

Today's meditation is on Psalm 68
My God, you arise with awesome power, and your enemies scatter in fear. I am filled with joy in your presence and I am carried away with gladness singing praises to you, O Lord! I laugh and I am radiant with joy.
I raise my voice in celebration songs to you who rides upon the clouds. Jehovah is your name. You are a father to the fatherless; you give justice to the widows, for you are holy. You place the lonely in families. You set the prisoners free and give them joy. You lead me into prosperity until I sing for joy. 
O God, you send abundant rain to refresh the weary land. Showers of blessings. You have settled me here, with a bountiful harvest, O God. You provide for my every need.
Lord, you speak and the enemy flees. You declare the word of the gospel with power, and I deliver its message.
Surrounded by unnumbered thousands of mighty chariots, you come to your holy Temple radiant with holiness. You ascend the heights, leading the victory procession. And you dwell among us.
What a glorious God you are. You give me salvation over and over. Each day you carry me in your arms. You bear my burdens and give me rest.
You have freed me. You are my source of life. Display your strength, O God, and I will be strong. For your miracles have made me who I am. You have done mighty things.
I praise your name and tell everyone about your power. Your majesty shines down on the earth; your strength is mighty in the heavens. I am consumed with awe, kneeling here before you, as glory streams from your Holy Place. You share your mighty strength with me. And I give my highest praise to you.

Today's meditation is on Psalm 66
I lift a joyful shout of praise to you, O God. I will sing of your glorious name and tell the world how wonderful you are.
How awe-inspiring are your deeds, O God! How great your power! No wonder your enemies surrender and bow before you! All the earth shall bow down and worship you and sing of your glories forever. Come, see the incredible things God has done. What marvelous miracles you have performed for me. It takes my breath away.
Because of your great power you will rule forever. You watch every movement of the nations, and deflate the pride of rebel lands.
I bless you, God and sing your praises and let everyone know I love you. You hold my life safely in your hands, and you hold my feet to the path. I have passed through your fire, O Lord, like precious metal made pure. You have proved me, perfected me and made me holy. I went through fire and flood. But in the end, you brought me into wealth and great abundance, saturated with your goodness.
Now I have come to your into your presence as a living sacrifice. I give you everything I have and all that I am. For when I was in trouble, I promised you my sacrifice. The incense of my prayers, and the melodies of my praise rise before you like a pleasing fragrance.
I will tell everyone what you did for me. I cried to you for help with praises ready on my tongue. I confessed my sins, and you listened! You heard my praise and you paid attention to my prayer.
Blessed are you, O God, who didn’t turn away when I was praying and didn’t withdraw your unfailing love from me. You have never said no when I asked you for help. Never once, have you refused to show me your tender love.

Today's meditation is on Psalm 65
O Father God, I wait before you in silent praise and obedience. You hear the prayer in it all. To you, even silence is praise.  I come to you with my requests, and you answer my prayers. You have forgiven all my sins -- your sacrifice covered them once and for all. You have chosen me to come and live with you within the holy tabernacle courts. How blessed I am! 
What joy awaits me in my Father's house! With mighty deeds and awesome power you defend me from the enemy, O God who saves me. You are my hope, the only hope of all mankind throughout the world and far away upon the sea. You answer my prayers with amazing wonders, and with awe-inspiring displays of power.
Lord, you formed the mountains by your mighty strength. You quiet the raging oceans and all the world’s clamor. In the farthest corners of the earth your glorious acts startle everyone. The dawn and sunset shout for joy and call me to come and worship. 
You water the earth to make it fertile. Your rivers of living water will never run dry. You prepare the earth for your people and send rich harvests of grain. You water the furrows with abundant rain. Showers soften the earth, melting the clods and causing seeds to sprout across the land. Then you crown it all with green, lush pastures in the wilderness; hillsides blossom with joy. The pastures are filled with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. I join as the world shouts with joy and sing.

O God, you are my God! How I search for you! I can't get enough of you. At dawn I search for you. My whole being desires you with cravings in my heart that can't be described. My soul thirsts for you in this parched and weary land. How I long to find you! 
I'm energized every time I come into your presence and drink in your strength and glory. Your tender mercies mean more to me than life itself. I will thank you for as long as I live. I will worship you passionately with all my heart. Your love has brought me to life, and I praise you, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. My praise overflows like a fountain. I bless you every time I take a breath, for the anointing of your presence satisfies me like nothing else. You are a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul, and I will sing your praise with joyful lips. 
I lie awake at night thinking of you—of how much you have helped me like a father—and I rejoice through the night beneath the protecting shadow of your wings. I spend hours in grateful reflection of everything you have done for me. 
With passion I pursue and cling to you, and I am protected by your strong right arm. In you I find joy. The liar shall be silenced, but I will praise you forever!
