Episode 141: Psalm 119:39-74

Today's meditation is on Psalm 119:39-74
Your laws are right and good, O Lord. And I long to obey them. You have promised to renew my life, it's part of the complete salvation you have provided. You saved me by your kindness. Your tender love overwhelms me. You are my savior, and you always keep your promises.
I will remember your words and meditate on them, for they are my only hope. I will obey you forever, observing your laws every moment of the day. Within the limits of your laws, I walk in complete freedom. I will tell others about all of the benefits of keeping your commandments, and I will never be ashamed.
How I love your laws, O Lord. My passion and delight is in your Word. I love what you say to me. I long for more revelation of your truth. I love the light of your Word as I meditate on it and let it fill my life.
You will never forget your promises. Your Word is my hope and my confidence. It gives me strength in all my troubles. Your Word refreshes and revives me. I'm encouraged every time I think about your truth. I will stand unmoved in my obedience to you, Lord. From my earliest youth I have tried to obey you, and your Word has been my comfort.
Your Word is my source of joy and singing as I journey through life. Throughout the night I think of you. I treasure your Word to me. What blessings are mine, as I follow your ways.
You are my satisfaction, Lord, and all that I need. I am determined to do whatever you ask, to go wherever you lead me. With all my heart I see your favor. You are merciful just as you promised, and you pour out your grace over me. When I realize I'm going astray, I turn my thoughts to you and your loving kindness. I turn around and come running back to you. I am firmly anchored to your laws.
In the middle of the night, I will rise to give my thanks to you for your revelation light. My brothers and sisters, are those who fear and trust you and obey you. O Lord, the earth is full of your loving-kindness. Teach me your good paths. Give me more revelation of your ways. 
Lord, I am overflowing with your blessings, just as you promised. And your extravagant kindness makes me want to follow your words even more. Teach me good judgment as well as knowledge. For your laws are my guide. I will closely follow all you say. You are good and do only good. Everything you do is beautiful, flowing from your goodness. Teach me the power of your wonderful words. I am passionate to follow all that you say.
You correct me with your Word, and teach me your ways. The words you speak to me are worth more than all the riches and wealth in the world.
Your very hands have held me and made me who I am. Give me more of your revelation-light so I may learn to please you more. May everyone see how you treat me with your tender love and mercy and want to draw even closer to you. Your words are entwined with my heart. And I trust in you alone.

Episode 140: Psalm 119:1-38

Today's meditation is on Psalm 119 verses 1-38
I am only truly happy when I walk in total integrity in the light of your Word. Joy overwhelms me when I keep your ways, O God, and seek you as my heart's passion. I reject any compromise with evil and walk only in your paths. Your Word shows me the right way to live, and I want to follow your Word consistently. I will never be ashamed to follow you. Your Word gives me strength.
When you correct me, I show my thanks to you by living as I should. Help me to always obey and not to slip back into sin.
I can remain pure by reading your Word and walking in its truth. I will seek you always. Don’t let me wander off from your instructions. I keep your Word before my eyes and in my thoughts, storing it in my heart to keep me from being distracted by the things of this world.
Blessed Lord, teach me your rules. I speak your Word over my life, I rejoice in your Word more than in riches. I meditate upon it and give it my full attention. My delight is found in your Word, and I won't forget to walk in it. 
You have blessed me with abundance of life so that I can continue to obey you. Open my eyes to see the miracle-wonders you have hidden in your Word for me. I am but a pilgrim here on earth: how I need a map—and your commands are my chart and guide. I long for your instructions more than I can tell.
Even when others talk about me and mock me, I will continue to follow you.  Your Word is both my light and my counselor.
When I am discouraged, you revive me by your Word. I have poured out my life before you, telling you all of my plans, and you are always there for me. Give me your instructions, Lord. Teach me more of your holy ways. Open up my understanding to the ways of your wisdom, and I will meditate deeply on your splendor and your wonders, and I will see your miracles.
When I weep with grief; when my heart is heavy with sorrow; you encourage and cheer me with your Word. Keep me far away from what is false; give me grace to stay true to your ways, for I have chosen to obey your truth. I cling to your Word and follow it as closely as I can. Lord, don’t let me make a mess of my life. Help me to want your will, not my own. I will run after you with delight in my heart.
Just tell me what to do and I will do it, Lord. Give me revelation about the meaning of your ways so I can enjoy the reward of following them fully. Give me an understanding heart so I can passionately know and obey your truth. Guide me into the paths that please you, for I know how delightful they really are.
Help me to prefer obedience to making money! Turn me away from illusions so that I pursue only that which is true. Drench my soul with life as I walk in your paths. Revive my heart toward you. Reassure me that your promises are for me, for I am your beloved.

Episode 139: Psalm 118

Today's meditation is on Psalm 118
I give thanks to you, Lord, for you are so good to me. Your constant, tender love will last forever.
In my distress I prayed to you, and you answered me and rescued me like a good father. You broke open the way into a beautiful and broad place. You are for me, and I will never fear what man can do to me. You stand beside me. You are always ready, able and willing to help me. You are my hero, my savior.
I put my trust in you alone, Lord. People may fail me. But you never will. It's better to take refuge in you than in the mightiest, most influential people on earth.
When the enemy is on the attack, I will meet him wearing your armor. By your supernatural power, he is already defeated. Your banner of love flies over me. You protect me with your wrap around shield of favor. You are my strength and my song. Praise is how I fight my battles, because you have already given me the victory. 
I sing songs of joy, for you have done glorious things. I shall not die but live to tell of all your deeds. You correct me when I go astray, but you will never abandon me.
I will enter into your presence, Lord, and offer all my loving praise to you. Thank you for answering my prayer and bringing me salvation.
Jesus, the stone rejected by the builders, has now become the cornerstone. He is the foundation upon which my life and my salvation rest. This is your doing, and it is marvelous to see. This is the day that you have made, O Lord. I will rejoice and be glad in it. You have helped me. You have saved me. You have given me success through your Son.
God, you are my light. I offer you my life in joyous sacrifice. I bring you praise. You are the God of my life and exalt you and lift you high. I give thanks to you, Lord, for you are good. Your loving-kindness is everlasting.

Episode 138: Psalm 116

Today's meditation is on Psalm 116
I am passionately in love with you, Lord. You always hear me when I pray. You bend down to listen, and you always answer me.  As long as I have breath in my lungs, I will pray to you. As long as I'm living, I will commune with you, and you will listen to my heart's cry. 
Death stared me in the face—I was frightened and sad-close to slipping into its dark shadows. I was overcome with sorrow. But I cried out to you Lord, and you saved me. You are so kind and gracious to me. You are full of mercy, my God. 
Because of your passion toward me, you made everything right and restored me. You are my protector. I can relax and rest, confident and serene, for you reward me for simply trusting in you. You have performed mighty miracles in my life. You have saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. By your grace, I shall live and not die. I will live in your presence here on earth. I will stay faithful to you, my God, and speak words of faith.
What can I ever offer you to repay you for the blessings you have poured out on me? I will offer myself a living sacrifice. I will lift up your cup of salvation and praise you extravagantly for everything you have done. I know that I am very precious to you, and it is costly to you whenever one of your chosen ones dies.
O Lord, you have freed me from my bonds. You have broken open my life and freed me from my chains, and I will serve you forever. I will worship you passionately and offer you a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. With everything I am, and everything I have, I will praise you.

Episode 137: Psalm 112

Today's meditation is on Psalm 112
I will praise you, O Lord. I am blessed even beyond expectation, because I fear and reverence you. I find great delight in your Word.
My descendants will be prosperous and influential. They will be blessed and experience your favor. Wealth and riches are in my home, and the righteousness I have in Christ Jesus endures forever. My good deeds will not be forgotten.
Even in darkness, the light of dawn comes bursting in. I will remain gracious and compassionate and righteous because I abide in you, and you abide in me.
Good will comes to me, and I am generous and lend freely to those in need who conduct their affairs with justice.
I will never be shaken. Negative circumstances will not overtake me. Your great favor and constant care will make a deep impression on all who see it.
I am not afraid of bad news, nor do I live in dread of what may happen. My heart is steadfast, trusting in you, Lord. My mind is settled, knowing that you will take care of me. 
My heart is secure, and I will have no fear. I know the end result is victory, in Jesus' name. 
I am never stingy, but give generously to those in need. The righteousness you have given me endures forever. I am strengthened, and you lift me up. Your favor shines upon me. You give me influence and honor.

Today's meditation is on Psalm 111
Hallelujah! I will publicly thank you with all my heart. May everyone hear my passionate praise to you, O God. For your mighty miracles astound me. They are so delightfully mysterious that they leave me astonished. I ponder your many and wondrous works. Your miracles demonstrate your honor and majesty. Everything you do is full of splendor and beauty. Each miracle demonstrates your eternal perfection.
How could I ever forget the wonders you perform—deeds that reveal your mercy and grace? They remind me of your compassion for all. You are Jehovah Jireh. You satisfy all those who trust you; you never forget your promises. You have shown your great power to me over and over again. All you do is flawless, faithful and fair, and your every word proves trustworthy and true. Your Word is steadfast forever and ever, formed from righteousness and truth. You have paid a full ransom for me; now I am always free to come to you, Jehovah (what a holy, awe-inspiring name that is).
The first step toward wisdom is fear and reverence for you, O God. For growth in wisdom comes from obeying your laws. I will never lack understanding, when I follow your ways. I will praise your name forever throughout eternity.

Episode 135: Psalm 104

Today's meditation is on Psalm 104
I bless you, O Lord my God, with everything I am. Your greatness takes my breath away. And I am overwhelmed by your majesty, beauty and splendor. You are robed with honor and with majesty and light. You stretched out the starry skies like a tapestry, and hollowed out the surface of the earth to form the seas. You build your balconies with light beams. The clouds are your chariots. You fly on the wings of the wind. The angels are your messengers—your servants of fire.
You spoke and the earth was formed, and you sustain all things by the word of your power. You clothed the earth with floods of waters covering up the mountains. Then you spoke, and at the sound of your shout the water collected into its vast ocean beds, and mountains rose and valleys sank to the levels you decreed. And then you set a boundary for the seas so that they would never again cover the earth.
You sent springs cascading through the valleys, flowing freely between the mountains and hills. You provide water for every living thing, animals and humans are able to quench their thirst because of you. The birds nest beside the streams and sing among the branches of the trees. 
You send rain upon the mountains and bring forth the earth's harvest to feed the hungry. The tender grass grows up at your command to feed the cattle, and there are fruit trees, vegetables, and grain for me to eat, and olive oil as a lotion for my skin. You give me my daily bread to sustain life and give me strength. You planted the cedars of Lebanon. They are tall and flourishing. There the birds make their nests, the storks in the firs. High in the mountains are pastures for the wild goats, and rock badgers burrow in among the rocks and find protection there.
You made the moon to mark the months and the sun to measure the days. You send the night and darkness, when all the forest folk come out. Then the young lions roar for their food, but they are dependent on you, O Lord. You feed them all. At dawn they slink back into their dens to rest, and people go off to work until the evening shadows fall again. O Lord, what an amazing variety you have created. With wisdom you have made it all. The earth is full of your riches.
Before me lies the mighty ocean, vast and deep and wide. It teems with life of every kind, both great and small. Trading ships glide through the high seas, and massive whales play among the waves.  Every one of these depends on you to give them daily food. You supply it, and they gather it. You open wide your hand to feed them, and they are satisfied with all your bountiful provision.
You send your Spirit, and new life is born to replenish all the living of the earth. I praise you, God, your glorious splendor endures forever. How you must rejoice in all your work! The earth trembles at your glance; the mountains burst into flame at your touch.
I will sing to you, Lord as long as I live. I will praise you, my God to my last breath. May my words and the meditations of my heart please you, for you are the source of all my joy.

Lord God, let your glory shine out. You are fully aware of how limited my thoughts can be. You have examined each one. Your thoughts and your ways are higher, so you correct me with your Word, and guide me along your path. 
There is such a blessing that comes when you teach me your Word and your ways. Even your correction is gentle and sweet. You provide a circle of quiet for me within the noisy chaos of the world. You will never forsake me. I am your prize. And I rejoice in you. 
You are my protector and my wrap around shield. Your tender mercy and loving-kindness saved me. Your unfailing love supports me.
When doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, you quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer. You overwhelm me with delight. Lord, you are my fortress—the mighty Rock where I hide.

It is good to give thanks. I sing uncontainable praises to you. Praise spills from my heart to the God who is above all gods.
I tell of your loving-kindness in the morning, and how faithful you are every evening. My melodies of praise fill the air. You have made me glad by what you have done for me, O Lord. You have performed mighty miracles in my life. I sing for joy at the works of your hands.
How great are your works, O Lord. Depths of purpose and layers of meaning saturate everything you do. You continue forever, exalted in the heavens, while your enemies are scattered.
You have lifted me up. New oil has been poured upon me, and your anointing has made me strong and mighty. I am refreshed by your blessings. You have empowered my life for triumph. 
I flourish like the palm tree and grow tall as the cedars of Lebanon... growing in victory and standing with strength. For I have been transplanted into your own garden and I am thriving under your personal care. Even when I'm old, I will still produce fruit and be vital and green, abiding faithfully in your presence. I honor you, Lord. You are my rock and my shelter. You are good. You are faithful. You are my beautiful strength.

Lord, you are my hiding place, my eternal home.
Before the mountains were born, before you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are the one and only true God.
A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.
Teach me to number my days and recognize how few they are; help me to spend them as I should so I may grow in wisdom. Set your wisdom deeply in my heart, so that I may accept your correction. 
You have compassion on me. You satisfy me each morning with your unfailing love. The sunrise of your love has ended my dark night. You have broken through the clouded dawn. Only you can satisfy my heart, filling me with song of joy to the end of my days. 
You overwhelm me with gladness that far outweighs my former misery. You replace my years of trouble with decades of delight. 
I see your miracles again, and my children see your glory. Your sweet beauty and favor rests on me. You establish the work of my hands for me and my works will endure. You give me success in all I do.
