Meditating The Word
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8 Meditate means to muse, talk about, consider, meditate, sigh, sing. Our words have power (the power of life and death are in the tongue), but God‘s Word isn‘t just powerful, it‘s anointed. What if instead of speaking what we think about ourselves, we spoke God‘s Word over ourselves instead as a form of meditation? What if we personalized and prayed scripture as a form of daily meditation? Well, as God told Joshua, I believe that THEN you will make your way prosperous and THEN you shall have good success.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Proverbs 30
Father, sometimes I feel weary and worn out... more like an animal than a human made in your image. Sometimes I lack understanding and the wisdom that comes from the full and intimate knowledge of you. But your Word tells me that if I lack wisdom, all I have to do is ask.
Father, you control the wind as it blows and hold it in your fists. You tuck the rain into the cloak of your clouds. You stretch out the skyline from one vista to the other.
You are Jehovah, the I Am, the Almighty God. And you sent Jesus, your Son, from the heavenly realm to the earth to redeem me.
Every one of your words is flawless, Father. You are faithful, and every promise from you is pure and proves true. You are my wraparound shield of protection, and I take refuge in you.
Father, empty my heart of everything that is false, every lie, and every crooked thing. Feed my soul with the measure of prosperity that pleases you.
My satisfaction is found in you, Father. I do not want to be so rich that I don't need you, or so poor that I resort to dishonesty to make ends meet. I will not let my life detract from bringing glory to your name.
I do not slander others, Father. It would bring a curse upon me and I would have to pay for it. I do not mock my father or dishonor my mother.
But there is a generation rising that curses their fathers and speaks evil of their mothers. A generation that considers themselves to be pure in their own eyes, yet they are morally filthy, unwashed, and unclean. A generation that is so filled with pride, they think they are superior and look down on others. They use their words like swords to cut and slash those who are different. They would devour the poor, the needy, and the afflicted from off the face of the earth!
I do not act foolishly by drawing attention to myself. And I shut my mouth when the thought of saying something stupid enters my mind. I avoid stirring up arguments that produce strife. Strife leads to every evil work.
I am content, Father, with what you have given me. You have blessed me far more than I deserve. I am not greedy crying out “Give me more!” Your favor is so overwhelming that I cry out, “That’s enough!”
But the greedy are as insatiable as the grave, yawning for another victim;the barren womb, ever wanting a child; thirsty soil, ever longing for rain;and a raging fire, devouring its fuel.
Father, you have made provision for my every need.
How could I explain the way an eagle flies in the sky, the way a snake glides on a boulder, the path of a ship as it passes through the sea, or the way a bridegroom falls in love with his bride.
Keep me from the self-deception of taking whatever I want and claiming to be innocent. It is difficult to watch someone rise to power when they do not have the heart of a service, or a scoundrel come into great wealth, or an unfaithful woman marry a good man, or a mistress replace a faithful wife.
In your creation, Father, I can clearly see your eternal power and divine nature, and I can gain knowledge from the wisdom of even the very small but wise creatures.
The feeble ant has little strength, yet look how it diligently gathers its food in the summer to last throughout the winter. The delicate rock-badger isn’t all that strong, yet look how it makes a secure home, nestled in the rocks. The locusts have no king to lead them, yet they cooperate as they move forward by bands. And the small lizard is easy to catch as it clings to the walls with its hands, yet it can be found inside a king’s palace.
I can learn how to conduct myself by watching the stately monarchs of your creation, who are impressive to watch as they go forth: the lion, the king of the jungle, who is afraid of no one; the rooster strutting boldly among the hens; the male goat out in front leading the herd; and a king leading his regal procession.
Father, you made heaven, the earth and everything on it. And you preserve it all.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

I am not stubborn, but gratefully accept correction. I flourish and others rejoice.I love wisdom, and I know that makes you happy, Father. I do not associate with the wicked or exchange my wealth for disgrace.I value justice and I am a great strength and example to others. I do not tear down what is right by selling my influence for money.I do not seek flattery, I know it can often be used as a trap to hide ulterior motives. I do not let flatterers take advantage of me.
The wicked always have a trap laid for others, but I escape as I sing and shout in glorious triumph to you, Father.
I pour myself out for the poor, while the ungodly make no attempt to understand or help those in need.
I am humble and love to pursue peace. I recognize fools by the way they give full vent to their rage and let their words fly. There is no use arguing with a fool. I can't get a word in with all of his ranting and raving. There is no settling the argument in a calm way. So I just bite my tongue and hold back all that I could say.
I esteem those with integrity and those who are holy. I do not listen to false accusations or associate with scoundrels.
I do not consider myself better than those who are needy. There is one thing in common between them and their oppressors -- God made them both. I demonstrate justice for the poor.
I do not avoid experiencing your corrections and rebukes, I know they will make me wise. If I was left to my own ways, I would bring disgrace to you Father.
When the wicked are in power, lawlessness abounds. But I am patient, Father. I know that one day I will watch in triumph as their strongholds topple. I hate injustice. But you are the judge and jury. Justice comes from you.
I don't hesitate to discipline children. I know that one day, they will change and bring me great delight.
Father, I know where there is no clear vision, people cast off restraint and quickly wander astray. So I heed your wise instructions, and follow the revelation of your Word, and heaven's bliss fills my soul.
I pay attention to your every word, Father. I am not impetuous and do not speak without thinking first. I say only what I hear you say and do only what I see you do.
The source of strife is found in an angry heart. So purify my heart, Father. Thank you for giving me your peace. A peace that passes all understanding, and keeps me from anger.
I do not lift myself up with pride but I am meek and humble in spirit.Fear and intimidation is a trap that would hold me back. So I place my confidence in you, Father, and you seat me in the heavenly places.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Proverbs 28
Because I am clothed in your righteousness, Father, I have the boldness of a young, ferocious lion!
I am grateful for leaders anointed with wisdom who are working to restore law and order to our nation. Rulers who oppress the poor are like a flash flood that sweeps away their last hope.
If I turned my back on what I know is right, I would reach the point where I could no longer tell right from wrong. I see this happening all around me. But I love the truth, Father, and it strengthens my soul.
Justice doesn't make sense to those who are devoted to darkness, but because I seek you, Father, I understand justice fully.
It’s more respectable to be poor and have my walk be blameless than to be rich and perverse.
I am obedient to what I've been taught, and my obedience shows that I am an honorable child. I do not bring disgrace to our relationship by socializing with the lawless.
I do not increase my wealth by taking interest or profiting from the poor. But I practice kindness and help those in need.
I open my heart and listen to your instruction, and you always hear my prayers.
I do not try to mislead others, or follow the paths of unrighteousness. I maintain my innocence and resist temptation, and you always reward me, Father.
I do not presume to be wise on my own, but your wisdom allows me to discern the illusions of earthly wealth. I seek you first, Father, and you provide everything I could ever need or hope for.
When I triumph, with joy I give you all the glory, Father. And others celebrate with me. But when the wicked rise to power, everyone goes into hiding.
I cannot prosper if I try to cover up my sins. But I confess my sins to you, and forsake them, and you are merciful and always forgive me.
I am blessed, Father, because I approach you with reverence and awe, but the stubborn, unyielding heart falls into trouble.
Ruthless rulers are like roaring lions and charging bears. A tyrant will always fail to employ wisdom. And those tormented by the guilt of murder will be haunted by guilt all the way to the grave with no one to support them. But leaders who despise corruption, enjoy long and full lives. When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding. But when they fall from power, the godly take their place.
Father, you rescue me from failure and keep me safe, while the wicked around me fall into ruin. I work hard and have all I desire, while those who chase fantasies end up with nothing.
I am honest and faithful, and life's blessings drench me. I am richly blessed, while punishment rains down upon the greedy and dishonest.
I do not show favoritism. Someone who would accept ill-gotten gain would betray a man for a bribe.
I am not greedy or in a race to get rich. Chasing after the wrong thing will only cause me to lose what's most important and end up with nothing.
I appreciate constructive criticism more than flattery.
I do not make rash, hasty decisions. I trust you, Father. And because I rely totally on you, I act carefully and prudently.
I am not a self-confident know-it-all. But I lean on your wisdom from above, and you provide a way for me to escape even the troubles of my own making.
I never go without, Father. You provide me with more than enough to meet not only my own needs, but to also give to others.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Proverbs 27
I do not brag about the plans I have for tomorrow, because I don't have a clue what tomorrow may bring to me. I do not praise myself for my accomplishments. It is far better to have someone else honor me for what I have done.
I do not allow myself to be provoked by a fool, that would be a heavy burden to carry. It would be easier to carry a heavy boulder or a ton of sand. The rage and anger of others can be overwhelming, but it is nothing compared to jealousy’s fire.
I would rather be corrected openly if it comes from love. I know that I can trust a friend who wounds me with his honesty. But the flattery of an enemy is insincere.
When my soul is full, I turn down even the sweetest honey. But when my soul is starving, every bitter thing becomes sweet.
My sweet friendships refresh my soul and awaken my heart with joy. A good friend is like an anointing oil that yields the fragrant incense of God’s presence. So I never give up on a friend or abandon a friend of the family. If disaster should strike, it is better to have a friend nearby to run to, than a relative far away.
I walk in your wisdom, Father. My one desire is to bring joy to your heart. The way I live is proof that I have listened to your Word and applied it to my life.
I discern danger that lies ahead and prepare myself. I am not naïve, never looking ahead and suffering the consequences of not being prepared.
I do not cosign or guarantee the loan of another. If they default, my property will be seized in payment.
I value peace and quiet, and I am respectful of my neighbors. I know that even a blessing, if spoken loudly in the early morning will be taken as a curse. And while I love to sing praises to you in the morning, Father, I do not sing at the top of my lungs in the early morning, or my neighbors may curse me for doing it!
I do not nag. I know that nagging is like an endless drip, drip, drip, from a leaky faucet. It doesn't result in anything good.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. I seek out those who will sharpen my character as friends, rather than someone who is content to let me retain my flaws.
I tend to my business like an orchard, and I have fruit to eat. I serve your interests, Father, and I receive your sweet honor and favor.
Every heart is different. Just as there are no two fingerprints that are alike. And as the water reflects the face, so my life reflects my heart.
Death and destruction are never filled, and the earthly desires of men’s hearts are insatiable. But Father, you have promised to first fill my heart with pure and righteous desires, and then to satisfy them.
Just as fire tests the purity of silver and gold, my character is tested by fame. If I am to receive fame for anything, Father, let it be for living a life of love and service to you.
I pay close attention to the faces of my family and friends, and hold close to my heart the condition of those I care for.
My strength, power, and riches will one day fade away; not even nations endure forever.
I take care of my responsibilities and I'm diligent in my business, and I always have more than enough--an abundance of food, clothing, and plenty for my household.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Proverbs 26
Father, your Word warns me against fools, laziness and hypocrites.
I know it is not wise to promote or honor a fool. It would be as out of place as snow in the summer or rain at harvest time. A horse can be guided with a whip or a bit in its mouth, and a donkey can be directed with a bridle, but how do you lead a rebellious fool?
I use wisdom when dealing with a fool. I do not respond to the words of a fool with more foolish words. That would make me as foolish as he is. Instead, if I'm asked a silly question, I answer it with your words of wisdom, then the fool won't think he's so clever.
I seek wise counsel from those who serve you, Father. I would never choose a fool to represent me. It would be asking for trouble. I may as well cut off my own feet! I don't put my trust in the words of a fool, they are as useless as the legs of a crippled man. The statements a fool makes hurt others like a thorn bush brandished by a drunk. Honoring a fool would only backfire like tying a stone in a sling.
I am careful who I hire. I pray over each candidate and seek your guidance. I know that being impatient and hiring any fool who comes along, is like a reckless archer shooting arrows at random. Someone will get hurt every time. Fools are famous for repeating their errors, just like a dog returning to its vomit.
There is only one thing worse than a fool, and that is the conceited person who thinks he knows everything.
I am not lazy and do not make excuses for not being able to work. I enjoy working. Father, you ordained work when you created mankind, giving Adam and Eve the job of caring for and expanding the garden.
I don't understand those who will not work. As a door is hinged to the wall, so a lazy man is hinged to his bed tossing back and forth instead of getting up and finding work to do.
I work to feed myself and my family, and to provide a roof over our heads. Work provides an avenue for you to bless me, Father. And you said that you would bless everything I put my hands to.
I am not self-righteous, believing I'm smarter than seven wise counselors who tell me the truth. I listen to their advice, and if it lines up with your Word, Father, I take it an apply it.
I do not meddle in a quarrel that is none of my business. I'd have better luck grabbing a stray dog by its ears.
I watch my words, and I do not lie. I would be like a maniac shooting flaming arrows of death if I deceived my neighbor and then tried to pass it off as just a joke.
I avoid strife. I know that it opens the door for the enemy do do his evil work. Just as a fire goes out without any wood, I do not add fuel to gossip and quarrels, but let them die out. Adding an argument to the mix would only stoke the fire and keep the strife alive.
Words of gossip are like choice morsels, they go down easy, but are just as easily absorbed into my innermost being. So I do not indulge in them. I know you have no use for those who gossip.
Like pretty glaze covering a cheap clay pot, smooth talk can hide a corrupt heart. I do not use kind words as a cover to conceal hatred of others. And I am on guard when someone flatters me. I know hypocrisy often hides behind flattery. So I do not allow myself to be drawn in by the hypocrite with gracious speech. His act is nothing but a masquerade covering his hatred and evil. Hypocrisy can only been hidden for a short while before it's exposed. Hatred is the root of slander and insecurity is the root of flattery. I do not seek the favor of men, Father. I only desire your favor.
The wicked may try to curse me, but your favor is my shield. And an undeserved curse is powerless to harm me. It might flutter around my head like a sparrow or a darting swallow, but it won't find a place to land. In you, I'm safe and secure from harm.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Proverbs 25
Father, you have hidden the revelation of your Word for me to find in the hiding place of your glory. I thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that you have to say.
My heart is full of understanding, like the heavens are high and the ocean is deep. Like impurities burned away from silver reveal a sterling vessel, your correction removes the dross from my life letting your righteousness shine through.
I do not boast or promote myself. It's good to be honored, but I do not seek words of praise. I know that it is better to be promoted by others and better still to be promoted by you.
I am not hasty to file a lawsuit. In doing so, I may start something I wish I hadn't and be humiliated if I lose my case.
I do not betray the confidence of others, but keep their secrets safe and leave it up to them to reveal to another as they choose.
I encourage others at every opportunity. Positive words spoken at just the right time are as appealing as apples gilded in gold surrounded with silver.
I humbly receive wise correction, and it adorns my life with beauty making me a better person.
A reliable, trustworthy message refreshes the heart. When I speak encouraging words in the right season, they are like a gentle snowfall at harvest time.
But someone who boasts is like clouds that carry no water and a wind that brings no refreshing rain. So, I do not boast of a gift I do not own -- or even of gifts that I do own. For everything comes from you, Father, and everything belongs to you. So what is there for me to boast about?
Father, give me patience and kindness when trying to persuade others. When I follow your guidance, I watch them change their minds right in front of me. The gentle wisdom you give me quells even the strongest resistance.
When I discover something sweet, I don’t overindulge and eat more than I need, for excess in anything can make me sick of even a good thing. It's good to eat sweet things, but I don't get carried away and overdo it.
I don’t wear out my welcome by staying too long at the home of friends or relatives. They may get fed up with always having me there and wish I hadn’t come.
I do not lie about or slander people. That would be as bad as hitting them with a club or wounding them with an arrow or stabbing them with a sword.
I do not rely on unreliable people when I really need help. It would be like biting down on an abscessed tooth or walking with a sprained ankle.
When someone is suffering in the deepest grief and heartache, I do not try to cheer them up with a song of joy. That would be like stripping them of their garment on a cold day, or like rubbing salt in their wounds. Sometimes the best comfort I can offer is to sit silently with them and just listen. I know Holy Spirit will guide me if there are any words I can speak to help ease their pain.
If my enemy is hungry, I buy him lunch and win him over with my kindness. My surprising generosity may awaken his conscience and I know you will reward me with favor, Father.
I hold my tongue and do not say things I shouldn't. As the north wind brings a storm, so careless words will bring a storm to any relationship. It would be better to live alone in a rundown shack, than to share a castle with someone who is quarrelsome.
I do not live without restraint, but control my temper. Strife leaves an open door for the enemy to attack.
Good news revives the spirit like a drink of cool water refreshes a weary, thirsty soul.
Father, I will never give in and compromise with wickedness. That would be like contaminating a stream with sewage, or polluting a fountain.
I follow in your paths of righteousness, and drink from your fountain of living water. There is nothing else I would rather do than serve you.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

I do not envy the wealth of the wicked or crave their company. Their hearts plot violence, and they talk about causing trouble.
I build my house and my business with wisdom, and establish it through understanding. Through knowledge my rooms are filled with the rare and beautiful treasures and I enjoy the pleasures of spiritual wealth. Through intelligence and insight my enterprises are established and endure.
Wisdom can transform me into a warrior, and revelation-knowledge increases my strength. I gain guidance from wise advisers, and have a successful outcome. Wisdom is a treasure too lofty for a quarreling fool. I treasure it like a valuable jewel.
I am not a schemer, making plans to do evil. Planning to do evil is a wrong as doing it. And everyone detests a troublemaker.
I have great strength and courage under pressure, and do not faint. I rescue those in danger, and do not stand back out of fear and watch them stagger toward destruction saying "It's none of my business." You know me completely, Father, and you judge my every motive and see through my excuses. Mine is not the only life you guard. Your covenant of protection is available for all who will accept it.
Your revelation-knowledge is a delicacy, sweet like flowing honey that melts in my mouth. I eat as much of it as I can. With it, I perceive what is true wisdom. And my future is bright. This hope living within me will never disappoint me. I stand in awe of you, Father.
I am not like the unrighteous who are brought down by just one calamity never to rise again. I may suffer adversity and stumble seven times, but I will continue to rise over and over again.
I never gloat when my enemy meets disaster, and my heart doesn't rejoice if he falls. Father, you see my heart, and I do not want to disappoint you.
I do not fret over evildoers or become agitated or angered by them. They have no life and no future. Their light of life will die out.
I give counsel to others, but don’t mingle with those who are rebellious. For sudden destruction will fall upon them and their lives will be ruined in a moment. I shudder to think about the retribution they will face.
I am impartial in my dealings with people, and am not swayed by a person's status. I do not call the guilty innocent. Speaking honestly is a sign of true friendship.
I don't accuse people falsely, and I don't try to seek revenge. I know that you are just and you will repay, Father.
My professional work habits prevent poverty from becoming my permanent business partner. I do not put off until tomorrow the work I could do today, because tomorrow never seems to come.
I build my career and give myself to my work, but I always put you first, Father, and you take care of me and my family.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

I consider my manners. I keep in mind who I am with and behave accordingly. I am careful to curb my appetite and catch myself before I fall into the trap of wanting everything that I see.
I do not crave the delicacies of an influential host. They may have an ulterior motive in having me as their guest.
I do not compare myself to the rich. I surrender my selfish ambition and evaluate them properly.
I know that as soon as I start counting my wealth, it sprouts wings and flies away like an eagle in the sky, for I have switched my focus from what is important and eternal to things that are temporal.
I am sensible when I am offered favors by a begrudging host. I do not take more than I should. Outwardly, he may seem generous when he is actually thinking about the cost and his heart resents everything I take. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. I will be sorry I took anything at all, and my gratitude will be wasted.
I don't waste my breath trying to give wise advice to a rebellious fool. It will only be despised.
I will not take what doesn't belong to me, or attempt to take anything from the fatherless. For you, Father, are a mighty protector, and a loving redeemer. You watch over your children.
I pay close attention to your teaching and correction, Father. I open my heart to every word of instruction.
I do not withhold appropriate discipline from my child, but punish him when he needs it. Punishment, though difficult for both of us, could be the very thing that teaches him a lifelong lesson.
I fill my heart with your wisdom, Father. I want nothing more than to please you. I speak your words, for they are anointed.
I don't allow the actions of evil men to make me angry, and I don't envy their worldly position or their wealth. Instead, I burn with unrelenting passionas I worship you in holy awe. My future is bright and filled with a living hopethat will never fade away.
I listen to you, Father, and grow in wisdom and my heart is drawn into understanding that empowers me to make right decisions.
I don't live in excess or waste my life away with frivolous things. Those who sleep their lives away end up broke.
I respect my father and mother. Without them I wouldn’t even be here. I did not neglect them when they grew old, but cared for them as they had cared for me when I was a child.
I embrace the truth and I hold it close. I don’t let go of wisdom, instruction, and life-giving understanding. I know that living in godliness brought my parents great joy--nothing could make a parent more proud.
I fully embrace your instruction. I give you my heart, and I delight in your ways. I am known as one who enjoys the company of the lovers of God.
Father, may your heart be filled with joy and gladness because of me.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Father, I desire a good name more than great riches, and a beautiful reputation more than a huge investment portfolio. You made us all, Father God, the rich and the poor.
I use wisdom and insight from Holy Spirit know when danger is coming so I can be prepared for it. I do not rush blindly forward or suffer the consequences of rash action.
I lay my life down in tender surrender before you, Father, and you pour your favor over me with abundant life, prosperity and honor as a reward.
I stay away from those who live twisted and perverted lives. They are surrounded by demonic influence. I preserve my life by staying far from them.
I dedicate my children to you, Father, and point them in the way they should go. I know that the values I teach them will be with them for life, and they will not turn from them.
I have learned to buy only what I can afford. If I borrow money with interest, I will end up serving the interests of my creditors. The rich rule over the poor and the borrower is slave to the lender.
I am careful what I sow. Just as your Word is a seed, so is sin. And the harvest that sin brings is trouble and calamity. An investment in sins pays a full return.
I know that when I am generous I am enriched with blessings in return.
I don't entertain troublemakers. When I say goodbye to them, I say goodbye to the quarrels, strife, tension and arguments they bring. A troublemaker traffics in shame.
I love a pure heart and speak with grace born out of your love for me, Father.
You passionately watch over your deep reservoir of revelation-knowledge, and you frustrate the words of the unfaithful. Their lies are designed to pervert the truth.
The lazy always have an excuse for not working. But I love to work as a service to you. The way of the world is rebellion, but your discipline drives it far away. There are no shortcuts to wealth. Those who would exploit the poor or bribe the rich in an effort to become wealthy, will find themselves in poverty instead.
I listen carefully and open my heart. I drink in the wise revelation that you impart. I know that I become winsome and wise when I treasure the beauty of your words, Father. And I am always prepared to share them at the appropriate time.
My living hope is found in you alone, for you are the only one who is always true.I pay attention to these excellent sayings, and within your words I discover true and reliable revelation. They give me serenity so that I can reveal the truth of your Word wherever you send me, Father.
I do not exploit the poor or crush the weak. I know that you will take up their case, Father, and humiliate whoever tries to humiliate them.
I walk away from the hot-tempered, and do not associate with those who are easily angered. I know that it would rub off on me, and I would become bad-tempered just as they are.
I do not guarantee loans for others, or promise to be responsible for someone else's debts. I do not move boundaries set by previous generations just to benefit myself.
I am uniquely gifted in my work, and my diligence brings me honor and promotion. I will not be held back. In fact, I will stand before kings.
So be it!
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Proverbs 21
Father God, steer my heart for your purposes. I know it's as easy for you to direct me as it is for you to direct the course of a stream.
You know my heart, Father, better than I do myself. I may think I'm right, but you thoroughly examine my motives. Nothing is hidden from you.
I know you would rather I demonstrate godliness and justice than merely offer a sacrifice.
Keep me from arrogance, superiority and pride. These are fruits of sin. Instead, help me to develop the fruit of the Spirit.
Fill my mind with your brilliant ideas, Father. Ideas that will pay off and bring prosperity. Keep me from making hasty, impatient decisions that only lead to financial loss. No doubt I could make a fortune dishonestly, many people do, but such actions lead to destruction in the long run.
I will never rebel against you, Father, and reject your truth for the love of evil. That lifestyle would only drag me into darkness.
My innocence can be seen by my honest, sincere ways. I show mercy, and I get mercy in return.
I have no desire to learn my lessons the hard way, Father, so I will remain teachable. I know that if I remain in your righteousness, you will give me the ability to bring the light of instruction to the wicked, even though I despise what the wicked do. You don't want even one of your children to perish. So use me, Father, to reach those who have lost their way.
I open my heart to the cries of the poor. And if someone is angry with me, I love to surprise them with a secret gift and watch their anger disappear. I know that a kind, generous gift goes a long way to soothe the anger of one who is livid.
I celebrate and rejoice when justice is served. I embrace the ways of wisdom and travel in the realm of your spiritual light.
I do not love pleasure for pleasure’s sake. That is a sure path to poverty. I know that indulging in a life of luxury cannot make me wealthy.
I find delightful treasures and the oil of the Holy Spirit in the house of wisdom. I do not squander what I have been given. I chase after righteousness, and all my dreams come true:an abundant life drenched with favor and a fountain that overflows with satisfaction.
With your wisdom, I can go up against the city of the mighty, release breakthrough, and bring down strongholds.
I watch my words and am careful what I say, and I have surprisingly few troubles in life.
I do not take the easy way out. I don't think only of myself, or how I can add to my wealth and possessions. I have learned the secret: Extravagant giving never leads to poverty. I can never out give you, Father.
But, I do not give just to get. I know that if I bring an offering to you with an ulterior motive, it amounts to nothing but hypocrisy and manipulation.
I am honest in words and actions, and the words I speak stand the test of time. Out of my love for you, Father, comes a holy confidence. I know that you are with me always. I do not forsake preparation, but I know that ultimately, victory comes from you, Father. The battle is yours.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Meditating The Word
What if instead of speaking what we think about ourselves, we spoke God‘s Word over ourselves? What if we personalized and prayed scripture as a form of daily meditation?
That's the goal of this podcast. No filler, no ads... just God's Word personalized in the form of a daily confession.
