Meditating The Word
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8 Meditate means to muse, talk about, consider, meditate, sigh, sing. Our words have power (the power of life and death are in the tongue), but God‘s Word isn‘t just powerful, it‘s anointed. What if instead of speaking what we think about ourselves, we spoke God‘s Word over ourselves instead as a form of meditation? What if we personalized and prayed scripture as a form of daily meditation? Well, as God told Joshua, I believe that THEN you will make your way prosperous and THEN you shall have good success.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Provision
Father, you are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. You supply every need I have according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. You are able to do far more abundantly than all that I ask or think, according to your power at work within me.
You sent your son that I could not only have eternal life, but life more abundant. So I am not anxious about my life, about what I will eat or drink, nor about my body and what clothes I will wear. Life is more than food and the body is more than clothing. I look at the birds of the air. They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet you feed them. And you consider me of more value than the birds. I can't add a single hour to my life through worry. I look at the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil or spin, but even the wealthiest king was not arrayed like one of these. You know what I need, and you always provide for me.
Because you are my shepherd, I lack nothing. You didn't spare your own Son, but gave him up for me. How could I ever doubt that you would graciously give me all things? So I am not anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, I bring my requests to you.
Blessed are you, Father of my Lord Jesus Christ. You have blessed me in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Your plans for me are good. Plans for a hope and a future.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Every good and perfect gift is from you, the Father of lights. In you there is no variation or shadow due to change.
If we, being earthly parents, now how to give good gifts to our children, how much more will you give good things to me when I ask.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Thankfulness
I rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances. I know this is your will for me in Christ Jesus. I know there is always something I can be thankful for, Father. Your grace is overwhelming. Daily, it reaches more and more people causing thanksgiving to overflow, all for your glory.
The peace of Christ rules in my heart. As a member of the one body, I have been called to peace. And I am thankful. I am not anxious about anything. In every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I present my requests to you, Father. And your peace, which transcends all understanding, guards my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus.
I give you thanks, for you are good. Your steadfast love endures forever. I thank you with all my heart and tell the world about all your wonderful deeds. I come before you with thanksgiving. I lift you up in praise with music and song. You are the great God, the great King above all gods. I praise your name in song and glorify you with thanksgiving.
I thank you for leading me as a captive in Christ’s triumphal procession and for using me to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. The message of Christ abides in me richly. As I fellowship with my brothers and sisters, we teach and admonish each other with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to you with gratitude in our hearts. Whatever I do, whether in word or deed, I do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to you, Father, through him. I give thanks always and for everything to you in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from you, the Father of lights. In you there is no variation, no shadow. You never change. I thank you for your inexpressible gift!
I continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful, and ever thankful.
Just as I received Christ Jesus as Lord by faith, I continue to live in him, strengthened in the faith, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Father, everything you created is good. Nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by your word and by prayer.
I fear and reverence you, Father, and serve you faithfully with all my heart. I meditate on the great things you have done for me. I give thanks to you, and call upon your name. And I make known your deeds. You are my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in you, and I am helped. My heart is full of praise for you, and with my song I give thanks to you.
You enrich me in every way so that I can be generous in all things, and this overflow of generosity produces praise and thanksgiving to you.
I enter your gates with thanksgiving and your courts with praise. I give you my thanks and praise your name. For you are good, and your love endures forever. Your faithfulness continues through all generations.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Forgiveness
I do not retell stories of offenses, but I let love cover them. Repeating the matter will separate even the closest of friends.
I am kind and compassionate to others, and forgive just as in Christ you forgave me.
If I do not forgive the sins of others, I am guilty of committing a perpetual sin, that cannot be forgiven. So I forgive others who sin against me so that you also will forgive me, Father.
If I come before you in prayer and you reveal unforgiveness in me, I will stop and seek forgiveness right then and there, so that I may also receive forgiveness from you.
I am patient with others and do not hold onto any grievances.
I humble myself in prayer to you. I seek your face and turn from my wicked ways. And you hear me, Father. My sins have already been forgiven -- even before I committed them. And by the stripes of Jesus, I am healed.
I forgive, because I have been forgiven.
I will forgive 70 times 7, or however many times I need to. Just as you put no limits on the forgiveness you have freely given me, I will not withhold forgiveness from my brothers or sisters who sin against me.
I do not try to conceal my mistakes, Father, but I confess them and renounce them, and I find mercy.
You are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.
Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of his people? You do not stay angry but delight to show mercy.
Through Jesus, I have received forgiveness of my sins. I believe in him, and I am set free from every sin -- not through my own works under the law, which is impossible for me to keep, but through your tender mercy and lovingkindness.
He is the atoning sacrifice for my sins, and not only for mine but also for the sins of the whole world.
You are gracious and compassionate. You did not turn your face from me when I returned to you.
I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I confessed my transgressions to you, and you forgave the guilt of my sin.
I have been redeemed through the blood of Jesus, my sins have been forgiven in accordance with the riches of your grace.
My sins have been wiped out, and you send times of refreshing to quicken my soul.
You are merciful and freely pardon.
I am blessed for my transgressions are forgiven and my sins are covered.
Not only forgiven, but forgotten. You don't remember them anymore.
Though my sins were like scarlet, you made them white as snow. Though they were red as crimson, you made them like wool.
You rescued me from the dominion of darkness and brought me into the kingdom of the Son you love, in whom I have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
You tread my sins underfoot and hurl all my iniquities into the depths of the sea.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Rest
Your presence goes with me, Father, and you give me rest. I both lie down and sleep in peace, because you alone make me dwell in safety. Because you are my shepherd, I lack nothing. You give me rest in lush green pastures. You lead me beside still waters. You restore and refresh me. You are the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
I do not labor in vain, because you are the one who builds my future. You watch over me. I do not eat the bread of anxious toil, getting up early and going to bed late. I am your beloved, and you give me restful sleep.
You are the everlasting God, Creator of the ends of the earth. You do not faint or grow weary. You give me power when I am weary, you increase my strength. I do not fall exhausted. I wait on you, Father, and you renew me. I mount up with wings like an eagle. I run and don't grow weary. I walk and don't faint. You satisfy my soul when it is weary, and you replenish me.
When the burdens and labor of this world become heavy, I come to you, Father, and you give me rest. I take your yoke upon me and learn from you. You are gentle and in you I find rest for my soul. Your yoke is easy and your burden is light.
You give me your peace. Not the peace of the world which comes and goes like waves tossed by the wind, but a sure and steadfast peace. I do not let my heart be troubled and I am unafraid. For I rest in you.
Though there is tribulation in this world, I take heart, because you have overcome the world, and in you I have peace and rest. Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guards my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus. So I take all of my anxieties and cast them on you, because you care for me.
You invite me to get away by myself to a desolate place and to rest. This was the example Jesus gave. He frequently went away by himself to spend time in your presence.
So I come before you and I am still. I wait patiently for you. I don't fret myself over the one who prospers in his way or over those who do evil. I simply rest in your presence. I take the time to be still and to know that you are God. And I exalt you, Father. For you alone my soul waits in silence; my salvation comes from you.
You gave me the example of working and then resting from my work, Father. You created the earth and everything in it in six days and then rested on the seventh day. Your blessing is upon a day of rest. You call it holy. It is a day to honor you and all you have done for me. It is a day to rest from my labor and be refreshed. It is a day of delight. I take delight in you, Father, and you make me ride on the heights of the earth. You feed me with the heritage of your covenant.
No matter what the circumstances, in seed time and harvest, you have provided a day of rest for me. In returning and rest I shall be saved; in quietness and trust I find my strength. The sabbath was made for me. When I enter into your rest, I rest from my works just as you did from yours. So Father, I strive to enter into that rest.
I listen to you and follow your word, Father, and I dwell secure and at ease, without dread of disaster. Fear and reverence of you leads to life, and I rest satisfied; I am not visited by harm.
I work hard and my sleep is sweet. You keep me in perfect peace, Father, because my mind is stayed on you. I trust in you. I follow your words and seek your ancient paths where the good way is. I walk in it, and find rest for my soul.
The promise of entering your rest still stands. I listen intently to your word. I mix it with faith and apply it to my life, and it benefits me in every way possible. I believe, and I enter into your rest.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Self-Control
Father, you have given me a spirit, not of fear, but of power and love and self-control.
If I lacked self-control, I would be like a city that has been broken into and left without walls.
I am hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined.
I know that as the end of all things draws near, it is even more important to exercise self-control, to be sober-minded, and to spend time in prayer. I know that a lack of self-control gives the enemy a foothold through which to tempt me. So, I discipline my body and keep it under control. As an obedient child, I am not conformed to the passions of my former ignorance.
I am sober-minded and watchful, because I know that my adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
I know how to control my body in holiness and honor. I know that there is a place and a purpose for anger. But I do not stay in it or let the sun go down on my anger. I can be angry and not sin.
My anger doesn't produce righteousness. Being slow to anger is better than being mighty, and ruling my spirit is better than conquering a city. I show wisdom when I quietly hold my spirit back rather than "venting".
I never try to avenge myself. I leave that to you. You are just and you right all wrongs, Father.
Self-control is a fruit of your Spirit. As I keep my focus on you, and follow your ways, it comes naturally to me. I put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for my flesh to gratify its desires. I do not set my mind on the things of the flesh, but I live according to the Spirit and I set my mind on the things of the Spirit.
I remain standing through the test and you place the crown of life upon my head. I remain steadfast, and I am blessed.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Gentleness
Gentleness is one of the fruits of your Spirit, Father, your Spirit that dwells within me. I don't have to try to develop it. I only need to let it happen. It's the natural outcome.
I live a life worthy of your calling, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for others in love. I make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
I know that a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. So, I let my gentle spirit be known to all men.
I am not quarrelsome, but am kind to all. I am able to teach and patient when wronged. With gentleness, I correct those who are in opposition so that they might come into repentance and a revelation of the knowledge of your truth. For you desire that all people would come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, who holds them captive to do his will. I deal gently with the ignorant and misguided, since I myself am also beset with weakness.
If one of my brothers or sisters is caught in any trespass, it is my responsibility to restore them in a spirit of gentleness; looking also to myself so that I will not be tempted.
I am kind to others, tender-hearted, forgiving them, just as you have also forgiven me in Christ.
I take your yoke upon me and I learn from you. You are gentle and humble in heart and in you I find rest for my soul.
As your chosen one, holy and dearly loved, I cloth myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Your blessing is on the gentle, Father. They will inherit the earth.
In my heart, I revere Christ as Lord. I am always prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks me to give the reason for the hope that I have. I do this with gentleness and respect.
I am subject to rulers and authorities, I am obedient and ready to do whatever is good. I slander no one, and am peaceable and considerate, always gentle toward everyone.
I love others as brothers and sisters, and I show hospitality to strangers. I know that in so doing, I may show hospitality to angels without knowing it.
I walk in love and with a gentle spirit. I flee from evil, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. And I fight the good fight of the faith.
I am not overly concerned with my outward appearance, but rather with that of my inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in your sight.
You are like a shepherd tending your flock. You gather me in your arms and carry me in your bosom. You gently lead me.
Your wisdom, Father, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, and without hypocrisy.
I listen for your voice, Father. It does not come like a great and powerful wind, or in an earthquake, or a raging fire, but as a gentle whisper that stirs in my soul. Your consolations are enough for me, words spoken gently to me.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Faithfulness
Father, you are faithful. What you have called me to do, you will also bring it to pass. You keep your covenant and your lovingkindness to a thousand generations of those who love you and keep your commandments.
Even when I am faithless, you remain faithful, for that is who and what you are, and you cannot deny yourself. My unbelief cannot nullify your faithfulness. You are not human that you should lie or change your mind. You speak and then act; you promise and you fulfill your promises. So I hold fast to the confession of my hope and do not waver, for you are faithful to your promises. You are good. Your lovingkindness is everlasting, and your faithfulness extends to all generations. You established the earth, and it stands. Your word is true and all of your work is done in faithfulness. Your lovingkindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Father, I will be faithful with the small things so that you can trust me with the greater things. For those who are faithful in a very little thing are faithful also in much. I am trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, so that you know I will be faithful with the true riches.
You cover me with your feathers and give me refuge under your wings. Your faithfulness is my shield and protection. You are my God; I exalt you and give thanks to your name, for you have worked wonders. Plans you formed long ago, you work through with perfect faithfulness.
Your faithfulness surrounds You. I declare your lovingkindness in the morning and your faithfulness by night.
I thank you, and my Lord Jesus Christ, who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful, and put me into his service. You have given me a trust, and I will prove faithful.
I do not make haste to be rich, but I am faithful and I abound with blessings. I am faithful in every circumstance. I have learned in whatever situation I am in to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. And I can do all things through you, because you strengthen me. I commit myself to you, my faithful Creator, and to your will and I continue to do good. I fix my thoughts on Jesus, my apostle and high priest. He was faithful to you, Father, to the purpose you appointed him -- even to death on the cross.
I am your faithful one, and I know that you love me, and will not forsake me. You hold success in store for me, you are my shield, you guard my course and protect my way. Your steadfast love never ceases; your mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
I trust in you and do not falter. Test me, Father, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for I am always mindful of your unfailing love and I live in reliance on your faithfulness. Faithfulness is a fruit of your Spirit that dwells within me.
You show yourself faithful with the faithful, and blameless with the blameless.
Father, help me to walk faithfully with you like Enoch and Noah of old.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Generosity
Your love is in me, Father, and because of that love, I express generosity to my brothers and sisters. If they are in need, and I can help, I do. I help them to carry their burdens, and in so doing, I fulfill the law of Christ.
I do good and share with others and you are pleased with my sacrifices. It's the least I can do, after you gave so much for me.
Father, I know that when I give, it is given to me. In good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, blessings are poured into my lap. I use a generous measure, and with the measure I use, it is measured to me in return.
I do not rely on earthly possessions, but I store up a treasure for myself in a purse that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, that no thief can steal and no moth can destroy. And where my treasure is, there is my heart.
I do not shut my ears to the cries of the poor. Your word says that when I am kind and lend to the poor, it is as though I am lending directly to you, and you will repay me. And I know that you are always faithful, Father.
I am not arrogant and I do not put my hope in wealth, which is so uncertain. I put my hope in you, and you richly provide me with everything I need for my enjoyment. I do good, and I am rich in good deeds. I am generous and willing to share. In this way I lay up treasure for myself as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that I may take hold of the life that is truly life.
When I give, it is as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given. I sow generously and I also reap generously. I give what I have decided in my heart, with prayerful consideration, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for I know that you love a cheerful giver.
I do not practice my righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. When I give to the needy, I don't announce it or make a big deal out of it. Rather, I do it in secret -- almost as if my left hand doesn't know what my right hand is doing. And you, Father, see what is done in secret and will give me any reward that is due.
I share generously from the abundant blessings you have given me. And I lack nothing. I am generous and lend freely, and even my descendants are a blessing. Good comes to me. My righteousness will endure forever, and you will lift me high in honor.
You enrich me in every way so that I can be generous on every occasion, and my generosity results in thanksgiving to you, Father. Jesus taught me that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
I am generous, and you make me prosper. I refresh others, and I am refreshed.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Love is kind. And you are love. You have asked me to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with you Father. As your chosen one, I clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Your Spirit abides in me, and kindness is a fruit of your Spirit.
I don't let any unwholesome talk come out of my mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
I am kind and compassionate to my brothers and sisters, forgiving others, just as in Christ you forgave me. You have shown me the incomparable riches of your grace, expressed in your kindness to me in Christ Jesus. With everlasting kindness, you have compassion on me. You are the Lord, my redeemer. It is your kindness that led me to repentance.
I do good to all people as I have opportunity, especially to those who belong to the family of faith. I love my enemies and I am kind to them. I lend without expecting to get anything back. If I have any reward due, you will reward me Father, because you are kind even to the ungrateful and wicked. I do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, I show kindness and repay evil with blessing, because I was called to do so that I may inherit a blessing.
You are merciful and gracious, patient and abundant in kindness and truth. You are faithful, showing your lovingkindness to me. And your lovingkindness endures forever.
There is no God like you in heaven or in the earth. You keep your covenant with me and show lovingkindness to me. I walk before you with all my heart.
Father, you are a God ready to pardon. You are gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness. You will never forsake me.
You have given me life and favor, and preserve my spirit with your lovingkindness.
I trust in your lovingkindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation and I shall not be moved. Your goodness and lovingkindness shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in your house forever. Your goodness endures continually.
The mountains may crumble into the sea, and the hills may be removed, but your kindness will never depart from me, and your covenant of peace will never be removed.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Love
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but don't have love, I'm just making noise. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but don't have love, I'm nothing.
Love is patient and kind. It isn't envious of others. It isn't proud and doesn't toot it's own horn. Love honors others and treats them with respect. It isn't self-seeking. Love doesn't have a short fuse and it doesn't hold a grudge. Love doesn't delight in evil, but it rejoices in truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Let me live my life in such a way, Father, that I am in debt to no man except the continuing debt to love others. For through love, the law is fulfilled. Jesus said that the most important commandment was to love you, Father, with all of my heart and with all of my soul and with all of my mind and all of my strength. And the second is to love my neighbor as myself. There is no greater commandment than these two. All the law and the prophets are fulfilled in these commands. Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Help me to live a life worthy of the calling I have received. Make me humble and gentle; patiently bearing with my brothers and sisters in love. I make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
I love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me, for I am your child. You cause the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and send rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. So I strive always for perfection, Father, as you are perfect.
I do not love with words or speech only but with actions and in truth.
Father, your love is better than life. My lips will glorify you always.
Love covers over all wrongs. So, above all, I love others deeply, because that love will cover a multitude of sins.
I remain in your love, and I keep your commands. I love my brothers and sisters just as you have loved me. I love at all times, not just when it's convenient and pleasant, but even in times of adversity.
Everything I do, I do in love. My love is sincere. I hate what is evil and cling to what is good. I am devoted to my brothers and sisters in love and honor others above myself.
I do not let love or faithfulness leave me. I bind them around my neck, and write them on the tablet of my heart. And I win favor and a good name in your sight and in the sight of men.
Love is one of the fruits of the Spirit. If I abide in you and you in me, Love is the natural result. Love comes from you, Father. I love because I know you, I have been born of you. You are love.
You showed your faithful love for me by sending your one and only Son, Jesus, into the world that I might live through him. You sent your Son to die in my place so that I could believe in him and have eternal life. Jesus died for me even though I was a sinner. He took the penalty I deserved so that I could live.
This is how I know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for me. And so I ought to be willing to lay down my life for my brothers and sisters.
What great love you have lavished on me -- you even call me your child, and that is what I am!
I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loved me. I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from your love that is in Christ Jesus my Lord.
You are the Lord my God. You are the faithful God. You keep your covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love you and keep your commands.
Because of your great love for me, and because of your unfailing mercy, you made me alive with Christ even when I was dead in transgressions-it is by your grace that I have been saved.
You are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. You love me with an everlasting love. You drew me in with unfailing kindness. Your love has been poured out into my heart through your gift of the Holy Spirit.
My lips will forever glorify you, for your love is better than life.
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Meditating The Word
What if instead of speaking what we think about ourselves, we spoke God‘s Word over ourselves? What if we personalized and prayed scripture as a form of daily meditation?
That's the goal of this podcast. No filler, no ads... just God's Word personalized in the form of a daily confession.
