Father God, we know there is an anointing on work. You created us to work with our hands. From the beginning, we were instructed to tend the garden. But it is all too common for us to have an ungodly relationship with our work. We sometimes lose focus, and it becomes about storing up riches, or buying more things we don't need. Help us to keep our work in perspective, Father, as though we are working for you, and not for material gain. Help us to never forget that you are our source, and any prosperity we have comes as a result of your blessing. Thank you, Father. Amen

Father God, wisdom has been with you since the beginning. Everything you created, was made in wisdom. And wisdom is the key to a successful life. And we can't have wisdom without you. Fearing you is the beginning of wisdom. Through wisdom, we have access to riches, honor,enduring wealth, and prosperity. Help us, Father, to use wisdom and walk in the ways of righteousness. Amen

Father God, we attend to Your words and listen to your teachings. We keep them in front of our eyes, and in the center of our hearts. Your words are life to us, and health to our whole body. We guard our hearts, Father, and our thoughts, for from them come all the issues of our lives, good and evil. We establish our ways in Your truth, Father. Your Word guides us when we walk. You watch over us when we sleep. And when we are awake, You talk with us. Thank you, Father, for your faithfulness. Amen

Father God, Thank you for the wisdom of Solomon and for sharing his proverbs with us. You haven't hidden wisdom from us, it calls out to us, even when we are surrounded with foolishness. Help us to discern the voice of wisdom, Your voice of truth, above the noise of deception. Help us to choose our companions carefully, and surround ourselves with godly men and women who won't lead us astray, but will point out when we are going astray to bring us back onto Your path of righteousness. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

Or is there an even deeper meaning of your unquenchable love for your children, the apples of your eye, the crown of your creation. Many waters can't quench your love for us, and flood water can't drown it. Thank you, Father, for your Word and for your amazing love. Amen

Father God, just as Solomon was blessed to bless others, you bless us today -- not for ourselves, for our own glory, or so that we can store up treasures for ourselves here on earth.  But as part of the covenant you made with the father of our faith, Abraham, we are blessed to be a blessing, and to establish your kingdom here on earth. Let us never forget the purpose behind the blessing. Amen

Father God, your Word says that if any man lacks wisdom, all we need to do is ask, and you will give it. Help us to seek wisdom over wealth and power. And above all, may we seek to live according to your Word. As wise as Solomon was, he still took foreign wives who eventually led him astray to worshp other gods. Keep us from putting anything before you, Father, but to trust in you alone. Amen

Father God, we are so blessed. If we tried to count all of our blessings, we couldn't do it. We seek you with our whole heart, Father. And we store your words up in our heart. That's what we're doing as we read your word together. We meditate on your word and we fix our eyes on your ways, and turn our eyes from looking at worthless things. We choose the way of faithfulness. Amen

You are our help and our shield, and you have established your covenant with us forever through Jesus, the cornerstone. We give you thanks and all the glory.  Amen
