Today on Meditating the Word, we read Isaiah's parable of the vineyard, a vision of the Lord in the temple, Isaiah reassures King Ahaz, the prophecy of Immanuel is given, and Isaiah's son is a sign of the Assyrian invasion.
This is Day 191. Today we are reading Isaiah Chapters 5-8
----
Father God, truly, as Solomon said, there, is nothing new under the son. We see the same things today that Isaiah spoke of centuries ago... Instead of consulting You and Your Word, people consult mediums and psychics and fortune tellers. Yet, even in all of our failings, You remain faithful and forgiving. You have cast our sins as far away as the East is from the West. Help us, Father, to search Your Word for the answers we need, and to listen to Holy Spirit for direction. You are merciful and mighty, and we give You all the praise and glory and worship You. Thank you, Father. Amen
