Episode 322: Isaiah 62
Today's Prayer Meditation is on Isaiah 62
Because you love Zion, Father, I will not keep still. Because your heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent. I will not stop praying for her. Father, you will make her righteousness shine like the dawn and her salvation blaze like a burning torch. The nations will see her righteousness. World leaders will be blinded by her glory. You will give her a new name, spoken from your lips.
You will hold Jerusalem in your hand for all to see, a splendid crown in the hand of the Almighty. Never again will she be called “The Forsaken City” or “The Desolate Land.” Her new name will be “The City of God’s Delight” and “The Bride of God.” Because you delight in your Holy City and will claim her as your bride. You will rejoice over Jerusalem once again.
Like a watchman on the walls, I will pray for Jerusalem day and night continually. I will take no rest until you complete your work and make Jerusalem the pride of the earth.
You have sworn to Jerusalem by your own strength that she will never fall to her enemies. Foreign warriors will not come to take away her grain and new wine. But the inhabitants will eat the grain they have raised, and give you praise, Father. Within the courtyards of the Temple, they will drink the wine they have pressed.
Look! The highway is being prepared for your people to return. The roads are being smoothed out and the boulders removed. Your banner is being raised for all the nations to see.
Israel, your Savior has come. He brings his reward with him. You will be called “The Holy People” once again, “The People Redeemed by the God.” Jerusalem will be known as "The City No Longer Forsaken" and "The Desirable Place".
So be it.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.
