Episode 302: Isaiah 41

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Isaiah 41

I listen in silence before you, Father. You have given me victory. You have scattered my enemies like chaff before the wind. You chased them away, and I walk safely, although I walk on unfamiliar ground. You have done mighty deeds. You are the first and the last, the alpha and the omega, the great I Am.

You chose me as your own, adopted into your family through the seed of Abraham, your friend. You called me from the ends of the earth, and I gratefully serve you. You have chosen me and will not throw me away. No matter what I face, I am not discouraged, for you are my God. You strengthen me and help me. You hold my up with your victorious right hand. 

You confuse and humiliate the enemy. No one who comes against me can prevail, their efforts will come to nothing. For you hold me by my right hand, you are the Lord my God. You tell me I have nothing to fear, because you are with me. You are the Lord, my Redeemer. You are the Holy One. 

I rejoice in you, Lord. I glory in your holiness. 

You provide for the poor and needy, you give water to those who thirst. You answer my call. You will never abandon me.  You open rivers for me on the high plateaus. You give me fountains of water in the valleys. You fill the desert with pools of water. Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground.

You plant trees in the barren desert. You do miraculous things so that all who see will know that you are God. 

The things of this world are foolish, worthless things. They are as empty as the wind. But you, Father, reveal the past and the future. You speak the end from the beginning, and you show me things to come. 

So be it.
