Episode 299: Isaiah 33

Today's Prayer Meditation is on Isaiah 33

Father, you have showered me with your grace. You are my strength in the morning, and my salvation in times of trouble. The enemy runs at the sound of your voice. When you stand up, the nations flee! Just as caterpillars and locusts strip the fields and vines, so the enemy has been stripped!

Though you are very great and your throne is in heaven, you have made your home in me. You are just and righteous. You are my sure foundation. You hold things together fast and firm during these times. You provide me with a rich store of boundless salvation, and the fruits of wisdom and knowledge. My greatest treasure, my most precious possession, is my awe-filled respect of you. 

You arise and reveal your power and might. Who can survive your all-consuming fire? Only those who are honest and fair. I live a life of integrity and speak truth with conviction. I refuse to profit by fraud and stay far away from bribes. I do not listen to those who plot evil, and I shut my eyes to all enticement to do wrong.

I dwell and prosper in your presence. You have seated me in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. You are my fortress. I take comfort and shelter in you, and you provide me with everything I need in abundance. I am no longer sick and helpless. I have been washed clean and forgiven for all of my wrongdoing.

I see you in all your splendor, the beauty of the One who rules over all. I no longer see the fierce, violent people who defied you. I see your Kingdom as a place to celebrate. I dwell in your Kingdom at peace, untroubled, undisturbed. It is like a tent whose ropes are taut and who stakes are firmly fixed. 

You are my Mighty One. You are like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross, that no enemy ship can sail upon. 

You are my judge, my lawgiver and my king. You care for me and you have saved me. The treasure of the wicked will be divided among your people. Even the lame will take their share.

So be it.
