Episode 148: Psalms 134-135
Today's meditation is on Psalm 134 & 135
I bless you, Lord, and lift my hands in holiness to you. I sing my song of blessing to you. You have blessed me beyond measure. Lord of heaven and earth, I worship you.
I shout hallelujah and praise your greatness. I praise you, Lord, because you are so good. I sing loving praises to your wonderful name. You have chosen me for your own purpose and called me your special treasure. Before the foundations of the earth, you chose me.
Your greatness is unequaled, Lord. You are far greater than any other god. You do whatever pleases you throughout all of heaven and earth and in the deepest seas with unlimited power and authority. You makes mists rise throughout the earth; you send the lightning and thunder, and bring the wind and rain out of your heavenly storehouse. You have done great miracles -- mighty signs and wonders throughout the history of the world, and even in now.
O Jehovah, your name endures forever; your fame is known to every generation. You will vindicate your people and have compassion on your servants.
The unbelievers worship what they make. They worship their wealth and their work. They idolize what they own and what they do. But their possessions will never satisfy. Their lifeless and futile works cannot bring life to them. Their things can't talk to them or answer their prayers. They create idols with speechless mouths, sightless eyes, and ears that cannot hear; they cannot even breathe. They are dead idols and everyone who trusts in these powerless, dead things, will be just like what they worship -- powerless and dead.
I bless you, Lord Jehovah. I bless your name. I trust and reverence you, bowing low before you. I praise you, Lord, for you have chosen to abide with me.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.
