Episode 137: Psalm 112

Today's meditation is on Psalm 112

I will praise you, O Lord. I am blessed even beyond expectation, because I fear and reverence you. I find great delight in your Word.

My descendants will be prosperous and influential. They will be blessed and experience your favor. Wealth and riches are in my home, and the righteousness I have in Christ Jesus endures forever. My good deeds will not be forgotten.

Even in darkness, the light of dawn comes bursting in. I will remain gracious and compassionate and righteous because I abide in you, and you abide in me.

Good will comes to me, and I am generous and lend freely to those in need who conduct their affairs with justice.

I will never be shaken. Negative circumstances will not overtake me. Your great favor and constant care will make a deep impression on all who see it.

I am not afraid of bad news, nor do I live in dread of what may happen. My heart is steadfast, trusting in you, Lord. My mind is settled, knowing that you will take care of me. 

My heart is secure, and I will have no fear. I know the end result is victory, in Jesus' name. 

I am never stingy, but give generously to those in need. The righteousness you have given me endures forever. I am strengthened, and you lift me up. Your favor shines upon me. You give me influence and honor.
