Episode 133: Psalm 96

Today's meditation is on Psalm 96.

I sing a new song to you O Lord. I sing it everywhere. I sing out your praises and bless your name. I tell everyone every day how wonderful you are. I give them the good news of my great Savior. 

I publish your glorious acts throughout the earth, telling everyone about the amazing things you do. Lord, you are great beyond description and greatly to be praised. I worship you alone. Other gods are merely idols, absolutely worthless. But you, God, created the heavens, and the earth, and everything that is. Breathtaking brilliance and awe-inspiring majesty radiate from your shining presence. Your stunning beauty overwhelms me. Your strength is wonderful to behold.

I surrender myself to you, my God. I surrender all my pride and strength.  You alone deserve all the glory and honor, and I give it all to you. I worship you and offer myself as a living sacrifice. I worship you wearing the splendor of holiness. The very earth trembles before you, God. You reign over all. Your power can never be overthrown. 

Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice. Even the roaring seas demonstrate your glory, and everything in them shouts your praise. I praise you for the growing fields, for they display your greatness, their crops bursting out with joy. Even the trees of the forest rustle with joy lifting up their songs of praise to you.
