Episode 130: Psalm 90

Today's meditation is on Psalm 90

Lord, you are my hiding place, my eternal home.

Before the mountains were born, before you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are the one and only true God.

A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.

Teach me to number my days and recognize how few they are; help me to spend them as I should so I may grow in wisdom. Set your wisdom deeply in my heart, so that I may accept your correction. 

You have compassion on me. You satisfy me each morning with your unfailing love. The sunrise of your love has ended my dark night. You have broken through the clouded dawn. Only you can satisfy my heart, filling me with song of joy to the end of my days. 

You overwhelm me with gladness that far outweighs my former misery. You replace my years of trouble with decades of delight. 

I see your miracles again, and my children see your glory. Your sweet beauty and favor rests on me. You establish the work of my hands for me and my works will endure. You give me success in all I do.
