Episode 119: Psalm 62

Today's meditation is on Psalm 62

I stand silently before the Lord, the one and only God. I wait on him, listening intently, as long as it takes. Everything I need comes from him. For God alone has become my Savior. He is the solid rock beneath my feet. He is my safe place; his wraparound presence always protects me. He is my champion defender. With God, there is no risk of failure, so why would I let worry paralyze me when troubles come?

Yes, I stand silently before the Lord. Everything I hope for comes from him. My Rock, my redeemer, my strong tower. The Lord is my hero and my life-giving strength. I have nothing to fear when trouble comes.

My help and glory are in God. He is my protector. Success comes from God alone. He is my refuge, a Rock where no enemy can reach me. I trust in him absolutely. I pour out my longings before him, telling him all of my troubles, for he can help. The greatest of men or the lowest—both are alike in his sight. 

The wealth of the world is nothing to God. I do not put my trust in money, for God abundantly supplies me with everything I need. All power and strength comes straight from God. All the love I need is found in him. I give God all the glory and honor and my steadfast love.
