Today's meditation is on Psalm 36

The Spirit of the Lord whispers to me, deep within my heart. I hear your still, small voice, and I am in awe of your wondrous love. 

Because I love you, I turn from evil and do my best to act wisely and do good for others. 

Your mercy-seat love is limitless. Your unfailing love, O Lord, reaches higher than the highest heavens. Your faithfulness is infinite, stretching over the whole earth.

Your righteousness is immovable, like the mighty mountains. Your justice is as full of wisdom as the ocean depths are full of water. Your tender care and kindness do not leave me forgotten. You care for me and for all your creation, O Lord.

How extravagant and precious is your unfailing love, O God! I find shelter hidden in the shadow of your wings.

You feed me from the anointed abundance of your own house, letting me drink my fill from your river of delights. The fountain of life flows from you to satisfy me. In your light of holiness, I receive the light of revelation.

You pour out your unfailing love on me, releasing more of your blessings and favor because I am loyal to you.

You never let the proud trample me or the wicked push me around. Those who would do evil have fallen! They are thrown down.

And if I fall, Lord, you lift me up again.
