Episode 105: Psalm 33
Today's meditation is on Psalm 33
My heart overflows with praise to the Lord. I sing joyous melodies, praising him with all I have. I compose new melodies that release new praises to the Lord. I praise him with the anointing and skill he gives me. I sing and shout with passion, and make a spectacular sound of joy.
God's Word is something to sing about! He is true to his promises. I can trust his Word. Everything he does is reliable and right. His works are solid to the core, sound inside and out. God loves seeing justice on the earth. Everywhere I look, I can find his faithful, unfailing love. The earth is drenched in God's affectionate satisfaction.
He merely spoke, and the heavens were formed. Filled with galaxies and stars, the vast cosmos he wonderfully made. His voice scooped out the seas. The ocean depths he poured into vast reservoirs.
With breathtaking wonder, I worship this awe-inspiring Creator. He spoke, and the world began, He breathed words and the worlds were birthed. "Let there be," and there it was--springing forth the moment he spoke, no sooner said than done at his command. With a breath he can scatter the plans of all who oppose him, but his own plan stands forever and will never fail. All his designs are made to last. His intentions are the same for every generation.
I am blessed and prosperous, and live in a nation whose God is the Lord. He is my God and he has chosen me as his own. The Lord gazes down upon me from heaven where he lives. He shaped me and now he closely watches over me.
The best-equipped army cannot save me—for great strength is not enough to save anyone. A war horse is a poor risk for winning victories—it is strong, but it cannot save. Human strength and the weapons of man are false hopes for victory.
But the eyes of the Lord are watching over me and I rely upon his steady love. I wait in hope and expectation for the strong, steady love of God. He is everything I need. He will keep me safe and provide for me even in times of famine. I depend upon the Lord alone to save me. Only he can help me; he protects me like a shield. He is my radiant hope and I trust him with all my heart. His wraparound presence strengthens me. As I trust, I rejoice with an uncontained joy flowing from the Lord. His love and steadfast kindness overshadow me continually. My hope is in God alone.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.
