Episode 104: Psalm 32
Today's meditation is on Psalm 32
I am blessed and happy because my guilt and rebellion have been forgiven. I get a fresh start. I am filled with blissful joy because my sins have been covered. My slate has been wiped clean.
What blessed relief to know God holds nothing against me. He has cleared my record. And I hold nothing back from him.
There was a time when I wouldn't admit what a sinner I was. But my dishonesty made me miserable and filled my days with frustration. God's hand was heavy on me and my strength evaporated like water on a sunny day, until I finally admitted all my sins to God and stopped trying to hide them.
I confessed my sins to the life-giving God, and he forgave me! All at once my guilt dissolved. He washed away my sin and all my pain disappeared.
I pray faithfully to my God. I seek refuge in him. The rising of the mighty waters will not reach me. He is my hiding place from the sudden storms of life. He even keeps me from getting into trouble. He protects me and surrounds me with songs of victory. His joyous shouts of rescue release my breakthrough.
God instructs me and guides me along the best pathway for my life. He stays close to me, advising me along the way. He watches my progress with a loving eye.
I am not like the horse or the mule, who need bits in their mouths to keep them in line. He doesn't have to tug me or pull me along. I follow him willingly, gratefully.
Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing, abiding love surrounds me because I trust in him.
I rejoice in the Lord and celebrate his goodness. He has made me righteous in Christ Jesus. I raise the roof singing songs of joy because I have right-standing with Father God.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.
