Episode 100: Psalm 25

Today's meditation is on Psalm 25

In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. My head is held high. Always I will lift my soul into your presence. I trust in you and you are always there for me. You do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame. My heart is entwined with yours. My foes will all be defeated and ashamed when they harm the innocent.

Show me your ways, Lord. Take me by the hand and lead me down the path of truth, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you and I have wrapped my heart into yours all day long. Direct me throughout my journey, so I can experience your plans for my life. Reveal the life-paths that are pleasing to you.

Mark the milestones of your mercy and love, O God. You have forgotten the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways. You have overlooked the sins of my immaturity and given me grace. You always look at me through your eyes of love--your forgiving eyes of mercy and compassion. You are a good Father.

How good you are to me, O Lord. You instruct me in your ways. You guide me in what is right, and teach me your way.

All your ways are loving and faithful toward me. You teach me the proper path even when I go astray. You lead me into the best decision. You bring revelation-light that trains me in the truth.

You show me the right path to take. Prosperity and favor are my portion, and I leave an inheritance for my descendants. You confide in me and make your covenant known to me. My eyes are ever on you, O Lord, for only you will release my feet from the snare.

You turn to me and are gracious to me when I am lonely and afflicted. You never count my many sins -- you have forgiven them all and lifted their burden off of my life.

I have taken shelter in you. Never let it be said that when I trusted in you, you didn’t come to my rescue. Your perfection and faithfulness are my bodyguards, for you are my hope and I trust in you as my only protection. You save me from all my troubles. You have provided the ransom price for me, and I am yours.
