Day 37: Exodus 22-24
Today on Meditating the Word, God provides laws on property protection and social responsibility, on justice and mercy; Sabbath laws are given for man, animals and even land; three annual festivals are announced; God talks about his Angel who will go before them to prepare the way and the covenant is confirmed as God appears to Moses, Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and seventy elders of Israel in a cloud of glory.
This is Day 37. Today we are reading Exodus Chapters 22-24.
----
Father God, So often, we look at your commandments as restrictions, when in reality, they are the path to freedom. If we study your laws, we can see that each one is written as a protection for us and all of humanity. We are grateful for your guidance, Father. And we are so very grateful for your grace, so that when we blow it, when we do the things we don't want to do, as the Apostle Paul said, your grace and forgiveness are there. We no longer have to offer a sacrifice for our sins, because you offered the ultimate sacrifice for us. Thank you, Father. Amen
