Day 36: Exodus 19-21

Today on Meditating the Word, God speaks to Moses on Mount Sinai; God gives Moses the Ten Commandments as well as laws regarding idols and altars, treatment of servants and laws dealing with personal inuuries.

This is Day 36. Today we are reading Exodus Chapters 19-21.

Father God, we are so very grateful that we have been restored to right standing with you by the blood of Jesus. When we read how the children of Israel and the priests had to prepare themselves before they could approach you, we realize how blessed we are to be purified in Christ. We read the ten commandments, which Jesus later summarized into two: Love you and love our fellow man. And still, we struggle to keep them. We are so grateful for your mercy, your love and your grace. Thank you Father. Amen
