Day 35: Exodus 16-18

Today on Meditating the Word, God feeds the Israelites with manna and quail; Water is provided from a rock; the Amelekites are Defeated; and Moses's father-in-law, Jethro, comes to visit

This is Day 35. Today we are reading Exodus Chapters 16-18.

Father God, help us to remain grateful for everything you have done for us and everything you provide for us on a daily basis. Help us to focus on what we have, instead of what we lack, because Father, we are truly so blessed. Let us always remember that you alone are our source. You are our provider. Keep us from the sin of self-sufficiency, Father. Thinking we can do everything on our own. We need you. Every day. And we need each other. Help us to not only to give to our spiritual community, but also to accept so that no one is overburdened and everyone is blessed. Thank you for the lessons in scripture, Father. Your word is still so very relevant to us today. Help us to apply it. Amen
