Day 28: Genesis 46-47

Today on Meditating the Word, Jacob goes to Egypt with all of his relatives; Joseph presents his family and Pharoah; Jacob blesses Pharoah; The famine continues, and the Egyptians sell their cattle, their land and themselves to Pharoah in exchange for food; but the Israelites prosper even in famine.

This is Day 28. Today we are reading Genesis Chapters 46-47.

Father God, you have set your people apart for a purpose. We are to be the light of the world. Give us wisdom, Father, to steward the resources you have given us. As you put Joseph in a position of power and leadership, even now, Father, may godly men and women be elected to leadership positions in our government and to positions of authority who will rule wisely. Open our ears and our hearts so we can learn from scripture and know how to apply these truths to our daily lives. Thank you, Father. Amen
