Day 260: Ezra 1-3

Today on Meditating the Word, King Cyrus helps the exiles return to Jerusalem, the list of exiles who returned, rebuilding the altar, and rebuilding the temple.

This is Day 260. Today we are reading Ezra 1-3.

Father God, again, we see the prophecies being fulfilled, just as they were foretold by your prophets. King Cyrus decreed that Your temple be rebuilt in Jerusalem, just as Jeremiah had prophesied. And, while the new temple was not on the same grand scale as Solomon's temple had been, it still evoked a shout of joy from Your people, so loud, that it was heard far away. Father, let us be just as unrestrained in our praise. When we come together to worship You, let our songs and shouts of joy be so loud, that people wonder what is going on. Amen
