Day 255: Joel 1-3

Today on Meditating the Word, an invasion of locusts, a call to lamentation, an army of locusts, rend your heart, the Lord's answer, the day of the Lord, the nations judged and blessings for God's people.

This is Day 255. Today we are reading Joel 1-3.

Father God, thank You for the prophet Joel. Only three short, but amazing chapters with so many wonderful promises. We claim those promises today, Father. Even though they were made originally to the children of Israel, we have been adopted into Your family and have the same blessings and promises available to us. You are gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and You have done great things. You will restore the years that the locusts have eaten. We will have plenty and be satisfied. You have poured out Your Spirit on all flesh, so that we can prophesy, dream dreams and see visions. Thank You for restoration and thank You for the gift of Holy Spirit. Amen
