Day 24: Genesis 35-37

Today on Meditating the Word God changes Jacob's name to Israel; Rebekah dies giving birth to Benjamin; we read the geneology of Esau; Joseph tells his family his dreams, and his brothers sell him as a slave.

This is Day 24. We are reading Genesis Chapters 35-37

Father God, we are amazed by your word. The things you had to arrange and sort out, the messes you had to fix so that your purpose could be fulfilled. But your word tells us that your plans can't be thwarted, and that your word won't return to you empty, but will be fulfilled where you send it. Your word was out, from the garden of Eden, that you would make a way. And nothing could stop it. Thank you for having your word penned for us, Father. Give us an ever greater understanding of it, and guide us in the path you have prepared for us to walk in. Thank you Father, Amen
