Day 216: The Book of Nahum

Today on Meditating the Word, the Lord's anger against Nineveh, Prophecy of Nineveh's fall, Woe to Nineveh.

This is Day 216. Today we are reading The Book of Nahum.

Father God, when Jonah prophesied against Nineveh, they listened, and they repented and turned to You. And You had mercy on them. But years later, they had turned back to their old ways once again. So You sent another prophet, Nahum. But they didn't listen. We see that You send messengers to try to turn people away from disaster. Open our ears, Father, to hear the messages You send us today -- through Your Word, through Holy Spirit, through those around us. Help us to listen, to hear, and to obey. Amen
