Day 192: Amos 1-5

Today on Meditating the Word, Amos pronounces judgement on Israel's neighbors, and on Israel, Judah and the nations; Israel's transgressian and punishment and a lamentation for Israel's sins.

This is Day 192. Today we are reading Amos Chapters 1-5

Father God, Open our ears to hear the words of your prophets. Although they were spoken to Israel centuries ago, there is still much we can learn from these words. You ask us to be true, and just. Help us to heed Your warnings, and to walk in accordance with Your Word. Help us to not become full of ourselves, but to fill ourselves with You and with Your truth. You are the God of new beginnings. Thank You for Your mercies, which are new every morning. Amen
