Day 135: 2nd Samuel 13-15

Today on Meditating the Word, Amnon rapes his sister Tamar, Absalom flees after killing his brother Amnon, Absalom returns to Jerusalem, Absalom conspires against his father David, and David flees Jerusalem.

This is Day 135. Today we are reading from 2nd Samuel 13-15

Father God, it's sometimes painful to see the consequences of our decisions. As we read the account of David and his sons, we see the prophecies being fulfilled because of David's great sin with Bathsheba and Uriah the Hittite. Give us wisdom and discernment, Father, to follow your paths, rather than relying on our own desires. Thank you for your mercy. And thank you for the lessons in scripture to help us make right choices. May we make choices that are pleasing to you and bring you glory. In Jesus' name we pray.  Amen
