Day 109: 1st Samuel 28-31 and Psalm 18
Today on Meditating the Word, Saul consults a medium at Endor, the Philistines reject David, David avenges the destruction of Ziklag, Saul and his sons die in battle, and we read David's Thanksgiving for Victory after being delivered from his enemies and from Saul.
This is Day 109. Today we are reading 1st Samuel 28-31 and Psalm 18
----
Father God, when David was at his lowest, when his city had been burned, and his family taken, when his own men wanted to stone him, he strengthened himself in you. Help us to remember, Father, that you are always with us. You are our strength, our rock, our fortress, our deliverer. We take refuge in you and we praise you, Father, for everything you have done for us and for everything you will do for us. Amen.

We are reading the entire Bible this year in the order the events actually occured chronologically. You can download a copy of the reading plan from blueletterbible.com. And don't forget to subscribe to this podcast. You can find Meditating the Word on your favorite podcast platform, on YouTube and on Facebook. It's my goal to encourage others to strengthen their Christian walk through daily reading God's Word. You can help, by sharing this podcast, and by rating and reviewing it. Tomorrow we will read from the Book of Psalms, then fasten your seatbelts as we alternate between 2nd Samuel, 1 Chronicles and Psalms for the next several weeks following the chronological timeline of writings.
Thank you for joining me and know that I'm praying for you as we journey through the Bible together this year. And I can't wait to see you tomorrow.
Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.
